I'm already running late...where the heck is time going????

A typical nice start for my little gluttonous lumberjack-ette. No Happy Crap Dashes to report, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled...I would LOVE to see one of those again! Happy appy, though, and happy kitty. My goodness, she is so stinkin' sweet. As much as she doesn't enjoy pills and fluids, she has really learned the routine...she knows when these events are approaching, and when she sees us prepping, she heads towards the appropriate spot. She's so helpful....what a good girl.

In making mental notes about her "AMBG +3" numbers for the last several days; there were 2 days in a row that I didn't follow my "extra early workout" schedule and we saw the lagoon. Today, I did follow the "extra early workout schedule", which pushed Trix's feeding schedule around so that she ate close to her "AMBG +#" and we didn't quite make it to the lagoon. The best test would be if I could get a true "post-meal +3" test on these days, but unfortunately because of work - and the fact that I love to cram as much food into her as I can before I leave for work - I'm not able to realistically do that.

My Dad is still VERY fired up about issues related to my brother and the pending his (my Dad's) birthday celebration this weekend. Long story short, my brother and is wife are somewhat restaurant snobs, and my Dad just wants a quiet event....and I'm the "arbitrator." Ugh. But, aside from that, it looks like the symptoms of Chemo Round 2 have settled out and he is feeling fine.

Time to get ready...have a great day, LL!

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

WooHOO Trixie, you are looking good this morning. Almost to the lagoon. it is an interesting observation on the timing of the fuds, seems logical to me. It is good to see that even though that +3 isn't green it is good to see that Mr P is on duty. Keep that happy appy coming trixie.

Good luck on the arbitration. Families can be such fun sometimes. Well, imho, but dad rules in this case. He should be able to have what he'd like, despite the good intentions of others. I can see how he'd like the quiet side of things. well good luck on it all. very nice that he's feeling better too. What a trooper your dad is.

Enjoy your day today. I hope all goes well.

Yay for happy appy! Way to go Trixie. Us beans love it when you eat so well. She is such a good girl. It sounds like you figured out the +3 mystery.

More feel good vines for your dad. Family dynamics are usually pretty stressful. I hope it all gets worked out and your dad can have a relaxing quiet birthday. Great news that they symptoms have settled down. Have a great day Amy!!

How sweet that she knows the routine and willingly goes to "the appropriate spot" for the meds. Here the appropriate spot is behind, beneath, and inaccessible! Whew. At least I no longer have to play drag-the-kitty-out-of-the-cupboard game. Now it's just a little herding.

Happy to hear your dad is through this round's down time. Hope the rest of this cycle goes well for him.

I chuckle every time someone talks about their kitty voluntarily going to "the appropriate spot". Around here, the appropriate spot is wherever Cinco is at that time! Well, okay just for testing. We do actually take him into the bathroom for t/f/s and fluids, but he would never willingly go there on his own!

I think, as long as you understand why you're getting the "+3" numbers that you are, and you're reasonably sure she goes lower later, things are great and no cause for concern! After all, if she goes from blue to green, she undoubtedly hit other numbers on the way, and you're just catching her before she gets to her destination!

Too bad your brother wants to do it his way. Have you tried pulling him aside and playing the "c" card - Dad is ill and shouldn't be upset, so let's do things his way? Hate to do that, but whatever keeps the peace! On the other hand, it's a great sign that you DF feels well enough to be so feisty about it! Prayers continue.

Yeah, I did somewhat pull that out...that Dad just wants to spend time with us. It did work and my brother is fine with the change....but at the same time, he hasn't acknowledged the e-mail my Dad sent out with the new info, and that has my Dad really p-oed. Finally got him somewhat calm, and my other brother pulled a fast one...he's 53 and still lives with my parents ('nuff said right there). He just brought a strange girl into the house so she can use the shower. What the h*** is wrong the wiith my brothers??????

Trix has always been a good girl about going to various places for "treatments". When she was on insulin, I would tell her to pick a spot where she wanted her shot, and she'd find a pillow and stretch out! It took her a while long to settle into the pills and fluids that way...we're just starting to see her pick the spot at the right time. But what a smart girl!!

Trixie is looking good today. I'm glad you figured out the difference in the +3 numbers. Sorry about the family drama. I hope thing settle down so you dad can enjoy his birthday. I'm glad he's feeling better from the chemo.

Another wonderful report for Trixie, how great that she goes to the spot for you! Glad to hear your dad is feeling better and actually, his geting "fired up" is a good sign that he still has a lot to say about things! Good for you being the arbitrator, tough job! Yeah, I know family can drive you crazy at times, but hey, they're all we have! :-D
