First of all, THANK YOU RHIANNON!!!! Allvetmed.com only had the 20 mg pills of prednisolone, but I can split them up. I really really appreciate it. I have looked everywhere and only found the liquid, which Tarragon will not do. Yet another reason I love FDMB and all of my friends here.
Happy furry purry this morning with 4 p's. No play since he is still feeling pretty breathless. He made up for it with kisses, cuddles, and purrs. I don't know how his breathing was overnight because he won't come to bed with me when he is having issues. Jumping up and down off the bed is enough to set off the coughs and wheezing so he stays at floor level. The coughing subsided last night after his second breathing treatment and the pills kicked in. He was actually laying on his back for awhile. That is always a good sign. His appy has been happy through all of this, which I am sure is prednisone induced. The last two times we had these issues, he has ended up at the hospital for a week with pancreatitis and DKA. (To be fair, both of those times we resorted to steroid shots because nothing else was working.) I am really attacking it this time and being aggressive with his insulin and pepcid to prevent that from happening (anti-jinx). Paws crossed it works.
Have a wonderful day! DH gets home today. Woohoo! The fur kids will all be as happy as we are.
