Yesterday, another blue and yellow day, followed by a dosecrease, followed by a green which leads to today's bounce.

9/18 Recap:
AMPS 129 +6 209 +9 108
PMPS 148 +4 178 +9 72

Little Miss Neko is not pretty in pink. Not a happy camper this morning. She hates pink about as much as I do. The zoom from +9 to PS told me she was racing up. I didn't want to test her at +2. But she was mewing up a storm, just wouldn't quiet down. Amazing what a test and small treat will do. She's now curled up in her bed in the solarium.

It's raining here. Ugh. Heading out in an hour because there is a small independent school that wants their kids to get to try rowing and the club needs some bodies to help out. Oh well, it is a water sport - they'll get wet. I'll suit up and stay pretty dry. I think it's raining harder now that during my row this morning. But I didn't notice it. We did a practice race piece and the person leading the pace in our boat is a former national team member. Our boat of 4 women went almost as fast as the men's quad. I'm feeling just a touch sore.

Happy Friday everyone! Vines to beans and kitties in need.

Neko, bouncing is for rubber balls, not kitties! Come down out of there this instant! I'm sure your Mamabean would be happy to see some sunny yellows on this gray day. Give it a try, please?

Sending stay dry vines. Hope your soreness wears off quickly. You have more intestinal fortitude than I do - rowing in the rain! :o

Neko, what are you doing in pink? It's not like you. Come down now.

I become a hermit in the rain when I can. I become a hermit in 95+ as well. Spoiled I guess.

Re: 9/19 Neko AMPS 155 +2 313

I hope Neko clears the bounce quickly. I guess a little rain doesn't make much difference if you're already in the water. I hope your DM is doing okay.

Neko! That is not a pretty color on you!! Come on down now.

Wow. Rowing. I did a rowing machine once at the gym. Key word: once. I don't think I moved without whimpering for a week. I did the same after my first Body pump and spin classes. I'd love to start those again...but who has time?!?!?!

That was quite a bounce for Neko this morning, but it looks like she started clearing it. I hope she headed for a nice, safe blue surf. Have a great evening, Wendy!!

Hate the bouncing but sure looks like Neko is breaking out of that bounce - Good Girl Neko!! We got our downpour yesterday, plus a 2 hour power outage! Hope you had fun showing the kids about rowing, I can't imagine a better teacher for the job! :-D

So happy to erase those other numbers from the subject line. ohmygod_smile Both Neko and I feel better about the blues.

This bean has the utmost respect for high school teachers and our head coach. 18 youth from grades 8 to 12, some there because they want to, some just because it's PE class. What a gong show! We tried to give them as much time on the water as we could which shortened the normal off water teaching. Normally people take at least 4 sessions. And we were dealing with a declining beach as the tide was coming in. I was charging around the beach, trying to prevent the kids from beaching these $40,000 boats and scraping them up. Got water over the boot tops so I got soaked. The rain stopped in time, I think the kids had fun, no one tipped the boats, we learned a lot about doing this kind of thing, and I think they want to come back, all good for the club. Neko didn't need to give such a dramatic permission slip though.

@Tricia, Elise, Carla, Suzanne, Amy - A forgettable day for Neko, maybe she can make it up tonight. At least she's starting this cycle in the downward direction. I don't mind rowing in the rain, as long as there's little wind, as often the water is flat as a mirror then. We just try to avoid fog, lightning, or wind that causes too many waves. Fortunately we are in a pretty protected fiord. I did talk to DM today, she's feeling well enough to start walking forwards in her walker. I feel much better about that. Walking backward may have been faster, but I could see that not being so safe.

@Ruth - Just missed you. Waving hi to you and Tiger. Hope she's doing well. I was mostly a gopher today. It didn't rain that hard here - just enough it would have miserable if the kids had been out in the boats during it.
