We have a nice blue morning yesterday for Mannie, followed by an even nice green :mrgreen: pm cycle - couple of yellow hiccups, but the overall picture was a great one. Way to go Mannie! cat_pet_icon Maybe we can repeat today?

PAW report: on the mend! The area is healing well, though I think it still is a bit sore. At least yesterday he let me poke and prod... :? He does try and keep it clean, managed to remove some scabbing yesterday, which of course made it bleed a little, but nothing of any concern. All in all - on the mend. Day 7 with the convenia thing with still no evidence of any side effects or reaction to the drug. :-D

Things are fairly normal here for Mannie this morning. My getting ready this AM was supervised, guess I pass: I got the once over and then he sauntered off to nap. Breffis #1, and #2 eaten: no crumbs left, interior patrolled, exterior sniffed through his window perch, but no request to check the exterior: must be all that rain out there. For now: still ignoring the auto feeder, and now off to sleep on the catnip stash. I really need to get him some nanners... normalcy in Mannie-land.

Mannie had a great evening cycle yesterday.....nice. Poor paw...I'm glad to hear the paw is mending well and he has no side-effects from convenia.

a name well-earned, my friend...i left a spare set of keys to the jalopy in your secret stash place...by unanimous vote you are the designated driver!! (doesnt mean you have to miss catnitinis, tho...since we arent cruisin on bean-byways) the dune buggy handles a little nicer than that uhaul.

a little speed shifting seems to have been good for the paw, eh?

Hi guys! Today is shaping up very well for Mannie... back to the greens at +4. I will check him again in 30 minutes - as the drop from +2 to +4 was a little much - like 100 points. I fed him some additional LC - will see if this is enough to get him to surf the greens - if not will go up in carbs a little.

and yes - so thrilled that the paw is healing. YAY! so many YAYs!!

67 @ +5. fed 1 tsp 7% to see if we can get this to level out some. test again in 30 minutes.

Hey Mannie, You are lookin' great today, and we're both green, so let's surf. I can't bring cookies, though, my mamabean says they're only for beans. Moonie's bringing some goodies, however. Where are we surfin'? All the kitties can come here. The sun is finally out. No waves, though, only flat water. It's great that your paw is getting better and that the terrible a/b didn't hurt you. I got my horrid pill this morning, thanks, in part to your mamabean's suggestion (I was made to open my mouth--forced to open my mouth; your mamabean really knows how to outwit a guy!). 78 @ +6, did not feed this one - he is due for his normal sunday morning chicken treat so will give that in a few. probably won't test again until +7

Hi Tena - so YAY on the cool making it your way - WOOT! We sent it via reindeer - Mannie has uhhh - a few friends, and well they wanted to see Texas. And double YAY on the warmer stuff making it here. It's been 65, but stormy. usually when we get weather fronts the cool comes with it - not this time. Successful venture I think.

Hi Ele - he has had a couple of very nice days. We are up at +9, but that seems to be the norm for him. lately it's been higher than his ps #. Go figure...

well, looks like Mannie fell of his surfboard - a 191 @ +9. Come on Mannie - climb back on, OK?

Hi Barb - Mannie did good - it's been a nice am cycle for him - despite the 255 at pmps. still has been a great day. I look forward to the PM cycle - what's up tonight Mannie?

- 255 at pmps. not too bad of a bounce - i hope that he will find the blues again tonight. Go for it Mannie!

Mannie is one happy dude this afternoon. We finally had a break in the weather, with sunny skies. winds were strong, but he was so happy to be out in the yard, on the grass, just checking things out. Mannie just loves his backyard.

Michelle, how do you think the lower carb foods worked compared to the HC you usually give him when he's low? Looks like a low bounce.

That was a nice green surf Mannie had going! Hopefully this small bounce to yellow is short lived and he'll be back to green before you know it! :)

Ann - there was a difference. With the LC he leveled out in the 60's. With the HC the other night in was in the 80's. The HC kept him from going lower, while the LC did not - at one point I did add MC to level out the drop when he hit 60. The LC did allow him to surf a lower green number, while still being safe. I think I will need to really look at how fast he is dropping, and what number he starts at, and if it is a continuation of downhill numbers from early on in the cycle. If he's in the 200's and starts a drop I can do LC, if he starts in the low 100's it would have to be HC, as LC would not slow it enough, soon enough, and we'd be too low early in the cycle. I'm beginning to realize that I really need to look at the starting point, and the severity of the drop. I think too that with the LC, he's less likely to have a high bounce - in theory we should only bounce up to a high blue. This morning it was 203, which is close to the goal: blue ps, green mid cycle. -- i hope I haven't confused the heck out of you. I think I have it straight in my head, and then he throws me a curve ball. Bottom line : yes on the LC - it allowed for lower safe numbers, with desired ps and mid cycle numbers, and a lower bounce -- so far :-D .

Hey Tess! Moonie came up with new fuds - crab something-er-other. :oops: I forgot the name! But it was really good! We have to take care of our beans ya know... It is good you slept with your mom. I like to sleep with mine too. She gives me lots of pets then, and I really like that. We surfed at Stu's - he had the best weather. It was fun, but we really missed you.
