Re: 9/19 Jenks AMPS 200 PMPS 193

Besides the midday rise that we all know was there today, he's come right back down to where he started the day.

I just totally spaced out and almost missed his shot. I took his PMPS blood. Fed him. And then just walked away. I'm filling in the spreadsheet and making this post, glance at the clock, and get that "OMG" sensation of having missed something important. Ran in, gave him his shot, missed it by 20min. Jeez. Who's the president again?

That's happened to several members...they even draw the dose, set down the syringe, and forget the shot. Twenty mins won't matter. You can shoot on time tomorrow.

Jenks' SS is looking pretty good!

hehe perhaps you just had one of Those Moments! Good thing you remembered - i hate that feeling of having forgotten something but not knowing what.

I just saw your reply to my last post in Jenks condo a couple of days ago. nice drums! :-D cat_pet_icon

Re: 9/19 Jenks AMPS 200 PMPS 193

Hard to say for sure there was a mid day rise without a test. Neko loves to go down at night and bounce during the day, except those times she's doesn't just to keep me on my toes.

I notice Jenks is a big boy and gaining weight. I wonder if he should be going on slightly lower calorie food. But I know how hard it is to do when you are feeding HC to keep the numbers up.

Re: 9/19 Jenks AMPS 200 PMPS 193

He has put on about 1lb since our last weigh-in. I know excess weight can negatively impact the diabetes, but what sort of gain is significant enough to be cause for concern?

We feed one can of 5.5oz Friskies four times a day, which is a remnant from when he was at his lowest weight (19lbs) because we were desperate to stop the loss by stuffing him with calories. It's possible that it's no longer necessary, though over the last two weeks we've transitioned to even less carbs than we were feeding previously. Even with two other civvies, I find we're wasting food at times.

I need to fill in the feeding portion of his spreadsheet, but over the last two days I've skipped his midday feeding because he's been sleeping. I figure if he's not up and asking for food, then he's not hungry. I'm also considering skipping the overnight feeding too, unless he needs some steering for low numbers.
