Eh, the title says it all. He's being better about not eating kibble, but bad about eating pate w/extra water instead of extra gravy. He seems more willing to eat pate in the morning than in the evening, and we get stuck with shreds or prime filets (all Friskies, btw) just to stay away from the kibble. We increased to 6.5units yesterday, and I was hoping for a better drop in numbers. Jack's body is apparently very sensitive to food, and this diet problem is killing me and his numbers. I am plain out of ideas on how to get this cat to eat just the proper wet food. And of course, since his numbers have been up, now his ketones are too. I have a feeling it's going to be a long week.

Ugh, darn cat! Have you ever tried something like freeze dried raw? It has a bit of crunch but lower carb. Was it the YA "Zero" or the Dr. Elsey's that he's been getting for kibble lately?

He eats a 50/50 mix of YA and Dr Elsey's kibble since just YA gives him diarrhea. I have not tried freeze dried raw; it's expensive, and since he refuses to eat by himself, i would have to feed it to 7 other cats besides him. I appreciate your suggestion- I'll keep the board updated.

I'll see what the price is and maybe he will love it enough to eat it by himself in a room....
