Sorry I can't link yesterday's condo right now, as I'm on my phone. I'll add it later.

Steve called this morning and said Harvey was looking pretty good, bright and alert. He said after we left last night he had Harvey in his lap to give him his meds and Harvey peed all over him! :eek::oops:. I asked if he still wants to stay on his case, after being bitten and peed on. He said yes! He's very excited about the improvement and wants to help get Harvey home. That sure made me feel good.

I don't know if I will get to see him today. I'm at the car dealership getting my car serviced and if it isn't ready today I'll be here until Mark comes into town for bowling. Fun, fun, fun!:rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
Wonderful news...and I guess he's starting to feel good enough to express his opinion about being at the vet :eek::joyful:! I pray that he is home in no time...
 
Paws crossed for continued improvement. I'm sure it helps to have Steve with him and giving such excellent care. What a trooper! (Harvey AND Steve). :bighug: :bighug: :bighug: :bighug:

Guess Harvey felt comfortable enough to show his appreciation of Steve. Hope he is home soon.

Here's your post from yesterday, so you don't have to link it later. Sounds like things are getting better and better with Harvey. :)

Poor Stephen - but I love that he was holding Harvey in his lap to give him meds, instead of just putting him on a table. He'll make a very good vet one day. I think having a change of pants is standard operating procedure for vets. :rolleyes: Neko approves.
 
Great news!!!! I think Steve sounds like an absolute sweetheart and it also sounds like he is getting very attached to Harvey.
 
So happy to read this! Go, Harvey! Even though you might want to consider being a bit nicer to the vetty bean that has been taking such good care of you.
 
Love that he is getting closer to coming home! Wonder what lucky office gets Steve when he becomes a vet?! What a gem! :bighug::bighug:

Thanks for the visits and good wishes, everyone. Steve just called. He said Harvey was looking a little punky but he gave him some food and he perked up. He ate really well, which made Steve happy. Me, too.

Steve said he went on the Board and read Harvey's condo! :eek::oops: He said all the nice things we said about him made him feel really good. I told him to read the stickies and he said he would. :woot:

They have started weaning him off the IV meds and he got 1 unit of Lantus tonight. PMPS was 340something (didn't write it down as I was out in parking lot at the bowling alley). They are going to check his BG every two hours. I was delighted to hear that. Paws crossed he keeps eating well so we can get his BGs back on track.

HEYYY. That would be super, plus, very helpful to get his comments on those stickies. Vets know all this super stuff they can't share well, unless they know where we are coming from.

Oh, wow, this is a very big step forward - actually 2 big steps! All the purrs, vines, and prayers y'all need, y'all got!

By the way, how's your game (bowling) coming along.

Very cool that Steve is reading up!! Sure hope you can somehow keep in touch with him....find out where he ends up going to practice!!! (tell him we're really low on good vets here in mid-Missouri!!)
