Yesterday

Good morning all -

I don't know what's going on this morning. I did leave her some extra food when I went out last night, just in case she dropped low while I was out for dinner, but it was LC, and I picked up what she hadn't eaten when I got home at +5.5. Her PMPS last night was 220, and when I got home at +5.5 she was 236. Now she has a pink amps, and an even higher +2. :YMSIGH:

I don't get it, but I have to be gone all day today probably til close to shot time, so maybe she's just being a good kitty and giving me a break.

FD can be a curious thing, but at least these higher #'s came at a time when you're going out so thats good.

Ok Miss Emma....its awfully nice of you to not worry your bean while she is away today by having higher numbers.....But remember...don't do this too long....k?

It sounds like the "boys" wanna take you for a spin today in their roadster....don't go to fast young lady and please wear your seatbelt.

I'm not so sure what happened while I was gone, but it appears some boys came over to visit with Emma...I THOUGHT they were just going for a ride, but apparently there was some sort of party going on. I came home to find the attached photo...the two droolers were locked up in one crate, looking really pathetic. There were empty niptini glasses everywhere, all kinds of treats strewn about, and 96.9 CAT Country on the radio. I've never seen anything like it. I thought that, at 15, Emma had outgrown her partying ways. Apparently I was wrong!

Oh well - let's hope she comes down out of these pinks before I finish cleaning up around here. I'd really like to see her have a breakthrough. We're at 4.25U BID right now - what's it going to take?!?

What a crazy day! Those poor doggies, all locked up like that!

Sorry it's getting so frustrating...hopefully today was just a blip and she'll get herself back on track soon.

Poor droolers! Emma, what were you thinking?? Kristen, this was just one of those days. At least you went out and had a nice time. Tomorrow will be . . . well, tomorrow! Hang in there!

Please let Emma know that we're not pleased with these numbers. If she doesn't mend her pink ways, she may be due for a dosecrease.

I'm thinking I may know why she popped up so much today. I gave her some lactulose last night and this morning because she seems to be a little constipated. She used to get it regularly, but she hasn't needed it in months. I did a little googling and came across some info that says while most don't experience higher BGs because of it, some people/cats do. So, she didn't get any tonight. I'll stop and get some miralax tomorrow and we'll try that.
