+2.5 = 347
+8 = 449 ( I gave him a shot - it was early... and although it may seem crazy I also increased it to 0.05 so that I could be sure he was actually getting some)

I'm worried. This is obviously not just a bounce.
The only thing I can think is that stopping the abx at 6.5 days (after he had probably thrown up the last few doses) has allowed a worse infection to develop - somewhere.
He's not acting like his ear is bothering him anymore and his anal glands seem fine - so I just don't know what to think.
He's eating well enough that I don't really think he's having a flare.
*sigh....*

I'll start a new cart at the next shot - just in case that's the problem
And for now we'll go back to TID and hope I need to break out the HC soon. :roll:

maybe so. I'll take him in as soon as I can get an appt - though I'm still not sure I trust our new vet. :(
I suppose it's in the realm of possibility that this was just a muther of a rebound... ? And I guess it's also possible that the insulin was toast (almost 2 months old)- coupled with a muther of a rebound... Maybe I'm just too impatient.
Anyway I'll give him another shot in 1/2 an hour if he's not still dropping.

And I'm guessing we all agree that even if he does come down, "the experiment" is off the table for now. yes?
 
I think we need to be sure he's healthy before experimenting. When he starts hanging out in the basement again, then we can start.
 
I wish they made an ab as good as Clavamox that didn't upset kitties' tummy's. I hope Doodle is better and showing you better numbers too.
 
Maybe food changes and HC foods causing a bit of gastric/pancreatic inflammation? Maybe he has some pain driving his numbers up, and a touch of Bupe might help? (((Doodle))).

Thank you all for the chicken soup and friendly visits - that's very sweet you.
He seems to be coming down - so maybe that' what's helping. :)

I'm not sure Linda, I had forgotten that he ate wellness on the 14th and 15th -- and I always end up questioning that food for him. So maybe... ?
I think he's had so much HC lately though that he thinks it's one of the staples ;-) And he's laying out on the patio right now, flat on his back with his legs in the air so I don't think he's in any pain. (which makes me very relieved)
Jeeze maybe it's just ugly rebound and crappy insulin and it'll all be over tomorrow.
