Good morning! We finally have a yellow amps! It could be an active day for mom. We had green also yesterday, so hopefully again today.I am off to work soon and will get updated from mom later and try to post them. Have a great Friday everyone!

Hi Laura. I think it's a good idea to try the new pen tomorrow. Max is more than back on track after his second dose using the new one. I hope the same for Chi Chi.

Hi Elise! Im at work and saw your post just now. We have green today, but I cant post numbers til I get home and look at the meter. I just forgot to write the numbers down when I talked to mom earlier. I think she said at +5 she was 99 and then at +6 99 still. She did say she has crept back to 184 already at +7. I don't like the sporadic greens, and think that it has to be the insulin. Glad to see your new pen is working and helping with Max's numbers today!! So, I will open the new insulin tonight I think.

I just looked at my ss and my first vial was used for 6 months. I hit green once in about 6 days and decided that it was time. I think I should have switched a few weeks sooner. In looking at Chi Chi's ss I'm not sure if I would change just yet. I mean it can't hurt but you might be wasting some good juice. Let's see what others say.
 
I already opened the new vial and gave her first dose on it Elise. I just have to know for sure, and thats the only way I guess. Heck, I just hope the new vial isnt bad because when the lady on Craigs list shipped it recently to me, it arrived room temp. She packed it with a frozen sponge that was in a baggie and when I got it, it was just a wet sponge in a baggie of water. It was still sealed, but I dunno...they could both be bad, or both be good, or one good and one bad...sheesh :YMSIGH: ..and I got a civvie right now running thru the house like a crazy cat..TGIF :lol:
 
My friend mailed mine with a cooling pack but it was no longer cold when I got it and we know it works after today. I think it was Wendy that posted that lantus doesn't send it on ice so I bet it will be fine. Good luck!
