9/19 Boris amps = 185 pmps=178

Hi everyone,

so here we are again - gave Boris 0.75u after 24 hour no insulin last evening. This was his second dose only.
after this:

PMPS = 297
+2 = 252
+11 = 233
AMPS = 185
1/2 hour later = 184

soooo - should I go with another 0.75 or wait or............we're continuing down slowly but still high........I'm so confused how to proceed right now

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Boris looks great tho!

I'm seeing if I can round up some experienced eyes to take a look at Boris' SS.

I'm thinking that maybe you need to be dosing at 0.5u so you can comfortably shoot BID. The dose may need to be raised but it may be better to be starting a bit lower. Let's see what others have to say and if you can get another test, that would be great.

then I would go ahead and shoot and monitor. You know how to steer the curve with food if you need to. This is a great preshot and maybe it will help Boris learn to stay in blue/green.

Ohh thanks Libby - I'm going ahead then with the 0.75 units and will test every hour unless I see him stay nice and steady. I'll update about 6 hours from now so if you want to see how things are.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone's help.

I looked at your spreadsheet and thank you - now i know how to chart the off hours of numbers. duh - I can be such a dunce! SS are new to me - I'm from the old school yet! :o

Here's a recap of Boris' day:

His amps was 185
@ +30 minutes - 184
So he got dosed with 0.75 units 1 hour later than his normal time that we would like.

+1.5=136
+3 = 135
+5 = 128
+8 = 140
+10= 164
+11= 178

Should I wait 1/2 hour to dose to get backed up to the time we'd like him to be on or can I go ahead and dose. And it seems like he likes the 0.75units. I love how nice and even he looks. And I know I'm so lucky to be having him in all blues already. But this will only be his 3rd dose. Will I be seeing something different as his shed builds up?

Again - sorry for all the questions and being so dependant on everyone? I so appreciate everyone's help.
 
ok - waited till + 12 = 165. Seems like everyone went to bed early tonite :-D

I went ahead and dosed the 0.75 and will get up and test during the nite!

Goodnite everyone - more updates in the AM altho I'll keep my SS up and update that thru the nite. laptop_smiley
