Good Morning LL! Happy Fursday!
I woke up with Bob doing the swallowing hard thing again. Yikes. Gave him a little coconut oil last night, but I heard him making the grunty noises last night. I imagine it's a hairball since this is what he and the other kitties always do when they have a hairball. I just don't understand why he's having such a hard time with this one. I really hope it's only a hairball. He's got a vet appt on Saturday and Dr. Richter will probably do an xray just to be sure. I'm assuming they can see a hairball on an xray? I know when one of my GA kitties had a xray one time, I could see her poop in the xray. :?
I really hope this is why Bob's numbers have been so high the last few days. He's been on dry food for over a month and has basically stayed in the 200's with a 300 every now and then. Just not sure where the 500's are coming from!
Otherwise, Bob was feeling decent this am. He ate his dry, then his wet and we played a little bit. cat_pet_icon Speaking of food, I did not give him dry last night and therefore, he did not want the wet. He's really liking the wellness turkey (especially with lots of water in it), but he wants his dry first. He's only getting 2 TBS twice a day and then the wet, which he eats all of or at least mostly all. But he wants the option. If I don't give him the option, he's going to be a brat. I've tried to mix the dry and wet in the past and that does not work for him. I don't blame him - it's kind of gross. I don't think we are going to try to transition again. I'm sticking with what's working (at least for Bob's attitude and my peace of mind). I did increase him to 2.75 units this morning.
Hoping everyone has a really good day and all the kitties are content. Thinking about Jupiter and Shadow today.
