I'm heading out the door very shortly to catch the train to my Dad's oncology appointment at Penn...I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get many if any visits in today, but I've got everyone in my thoughts and prayers....

It was a good trip although my Dad was really tired. This doc finds his case fascinating, because his cancer doesn't react the way it is "supposed to" to treatment - in a good way. She did pick a new protocol to try and has another idea lined up if this one doesn't work. Overall she is very impressed with how he is doing.

I am exhausted, though....the long day, tiring train ride, and stress of how sick patients are at Penn (which is why the are at Penn) is brutal.

Overall, sounds like a positive, productive trip. I'm glad the Penn doctor was impressed and has not only a plan, but a backup. Sending more vines and prayers.
