I think you want to take Snow up to 1U. Is it possible to get more spot checks? A before bed test at night or any tests in the day when you're home etc? That will help you catch any lows you miss on curve days. Give you a better idea of how he is doing on a dose.

I imagine you are right. I can definitely do a before bed one tonight and a later spot check tomorrow.

Since her BG has been higher than before, the thought is she needs 1u, but we want to do the spot checks to make sure she isn’t dropping too low in between, correct?

also, is it strange that her PMPS was lower than the earlier +9? I know one comparison isn’t enough to note any trend, just curious.

Yes. Dosing is based on nadirs. How low a dose takes a cat.

Some cats do what is called a Lantus double dip. They dip a second time at the end of the cycle but the second dip is shallower than the nadir.
