Recap 9/17

238 AMPS
286 +2
228 +5.5
281 +10
271 PMPS
257 +2.5
251 +4.5
232 +9

Well, Miss Polly. I'm thinking an increase tonight, up to 6.5. (good thing I bought another pair of high power reading glasses this afternoon) Hard to see that as an increase in the big picture since a week + a few days ago she was getting 10 Units. Just one week ago today she was wrapping up her SRT. Wow! She's becoming more accustomed to the chaos of of multi animal, multi species house. Back in the windows here, sleeping out in the enclosure, bbbbbbb (Polly's contribution to the condo, GET OFF THE KEYS!), and not hiding at the +2 test/breakfast snack in the morning.

Had to see my oncologist today, every three months for the last two years. 100 miles one way. I like her tons but we've got to stop meeting like this! Yippee; I get to go on the every six month visit now. ('Bout time!)

Our visits are always the same. She knocks and comes in the exam room. (Why does she knock? What does she think I'm doing in there?)

Dr.: Well, how are you feeling?
Me: Just great. How's my bloodwork?
Dr.: Just great.

And that mostly wraps up the medical stuff. 200 miles round trip!!!! I once asked if we could do these check-ups by phone! Oh well, I got some cat food at Petsmart.

Then we talk about other stuff. Today, she asked about Polly. I shared a bit of our experience at CSU, acromegaly and SRT. She was pretty amazed and impressed that someplace had all that equipment and talent for vet services. She approves.

Our neighborhood is getting back to normal. We need the weekend to be peaceful and sleep filled. Let's just keep the plate empty for a couple of days.

I'm glad Polly is getting used to being back home. Good luck with the dosecrease. I'm glad your oncologist appointment went well and you can now go to every 6 month visits.

That is one flat kitty...I wonder if Polly has big plans for tonight ;-) !! Work that dosecrease, Miss Polly!! I have no doubt the SRT will keep those units down for you very, very soon. I'm glad she has adjusted to being back in "reality"...ah, sorry, Polly...vacations are short for all of us!!

Great news about your oncologist appointment, even though you had to do tons of driving to get the news.I hope those visits keep getting further and further apart. And how awesome that she asked about Polly, too!!

Have a great evening, Marilyn!!

I like the good news from your oncologist!! I also like Polly's contribution to the condo  Billie usually ends up on the b key when she decides to type too. I always thought she was trying to write her name, but maybe it's a cat thing.

Ugh. Might be NDW. On the upside, bean might get good sleep tonight. Hey Miss Polly, still looking for those beautiful blues you had a week ago. Remember blues? - they start with bbbbbbb.

Sorry you had to travel so far for the oncologist for such a short visit. You'd think with all the technology and good blood work (congrats!) a phone call would do. I ended up talking to a veterinary oncologist about acromegaly and SRT once - she's on the board for Yonkers that also does SRT. She told me that the cement surrounding the radiation room cost $3 million.
