I had to go out of town for 3 days for a school field trip. My daughter was here to feed and keep an eye on him but unable to shoot or test. So I decided to not have someone give Sparky insulin while I was gone because he was getting so little and also because he was giving me huge drops after shots. I did not want him dropping so low without someone home to monitor his BG.
I gave him .25 U on Wednesday morning before I left, and when I returned on Friday night I tested him and he was at 68!
This morning at his regular shot time he had 111 and +4 he dropped to 80.
So its been I will feed him small meals to not overwhelm his pancreas and keep my fingers crossed. :smile: I will keep everyone posted.
