YAY! We made green last night - WOOT! it was a nice recovery day for Mannie. :razz: We started out in the pink zone, really not too sure why, perhaps a delayed bounce from the greens the night before :? , maybe Mr. Liver just wanted to day hello... :roll: Either way he ended up with a nice slide into the blues for pmps, ending the night with a wonderful mid-level green surf. What a great PM cycle. Good job Yesterday Mannie! And you bean thanks you for letting me and DGS go out on another adventure. Such a good kitty! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D I love the furkids that have chosen me as their keeper... Kitty alarm, best known as the kitty choir, made sure this very tired bean served breffis on time, yet again. I need to clone me: one that can sleep all day and be rested, another to do all the errands and chores and shopping and cleaning. and maybe a third: one that could hike all day, all week. :lol: :lol: :lol: There was no whacking this morning. :shock: HUH? :o weird.... :? but last night? whacking with a twist: kitty chases in between. That was fun to watch: whack whack whack chase chase chase repeat. What a bunch of goof balls. :cool: We had a great test feed shoot this morning. So many purrs and wags and head butts. Breffis was consumed with gusto, clean plate club status remains intact. Good boy! He is so funny... he hides around the corner and waits for his sister, the kidney issue kitty, to finish her fuds. He then so silently tries to sneak around that corner, raid her bowl for the left-overs... I have to watch... made the interception just in time today. Mannie!! no no no - 8%, and not for you... Nasty weather coming in today - of course the furkids all sense it, and have bunkered down for the day. All three are in their spots, napping. Would not surprise me if they stayed there all day... Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D :-D

Have a great day everyone! Not too sure what is up ehre today - catching up with things probably... I had hoped to go hiking today in teh north cascades: high elevation stuff. However.... there are severe weather warnings posted this AM, with chance/prediction of the first snows of fall... first freezing temps... so bummer! I elected not to get caught in that, and will wait this out, hoping for warmer stuff at the start of next week.

KITTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rusty is at Camp Stu! We gets to go and hang out and stuff. But it is COLD there, so bring your mittens and hats and scarves and stuff - we will needs them!! I hear too that there is much leaf pile jumping to do. YAY!!! I LUBS that stuff. I gots the bus all prepped and packed with lots of fleece and stuff, and hot toddy's simmering on the bus stove. Morning Michelle, nice start for Mannie, and I bet you see some pretty greens. Wow, is it that cold already in your area? It's even cooled off here, and my heater kicked in surprisingly! It's too damp and cool right now to take a walk! I've picked up your "whacking" word. I'm kitty sitting, and sometimes I get whacked with her claws just for petting her! Have a nice day.

Morning Angela - I think so too. So - day is great!

Morning Ann - great day for Mannie - almost green - YAY!!! We are a little cooler here: 50 in the AM, mid 60's by the afternoon. The mountains however, where I go to hike, is a different story... within the past week things have cooled down alot there. Falls is on the horizon. This weekend is the first where they are talking frost and snow in the upper elevation passes. We don't have rain yet today, just alot of wind. I'll probably go walk anyways... I love that word: whacking! I have a civvie who will do that the kitty you are sitting for does. pets,and I get whacked. :lol: :lol:

Maggie!! I am ready!! oh yes on the hot niptinis too! I gots them on the stove next to the hot toddys... we will be prepared! I had to hunt and hunt for my mittens and stuff.... found them behind the cat fuds cans... weird - what were they doing there? i dunno.... see you soon! ~~ Mannie

I've really enjoyed looking at all your photos lately. And your DGS is so very lucky to have you taking care of him and introducing him to the wonders of nature. What a gift you have given him.

Cool weather? What's that? Be careful when you go hiking.

Hi Roni - They were nice until that +11. :lol: sheshhhhhhh.... I know on the NY autumns.. I remember. Used to visit my grandmother back in Brooklyn. It was nice, cold, but nice. We are doing OK, most of the cold is in the mountains.

Hi Tena - many thanks on the photos. I love taking them, it's fun! Just wish I had more time to work with them... DGS is such fun. It's been great to be able to take him to all these places - he just eats it up. Hopefully he'll still feel the same when he's older. HAHA on the cool weather comment, and yes - very careful. I only go when I know the conditions are acceptable for safe hiking: no desire here to be a statistic... :shock: :cool: we do be careful!! -- well yeah the +3.5 was nice, too bad the +11 bounced right up. I was so happy thinking this morning that he didn't bounce. silly me....

Hi Ann - aiyee!!! tease indeed. sheshhhhhh - bounce mode now. I hope it is short lived. dang I really hate pink. love the photo! that is cute, and no doubt what the kitties are doing right now... lucky cats!

Hey Michelle & Mannie,
We're a bit late tonight; it's been a busy day. The kitty bus arrived this afternoon and the kitties are having a great time (but not jumping in piles of leaves yet, since the leaves are just beginning to turn color and are still on the trees!) Mannie's numbers will come down real soon, I'm sure (just like the leaves!).

Too bad that you had snow advisories in the Cascades. You are ahead of us! We're still dealing with the results of the flooding.

Hi Ella - ah bummer on the leaves..... i hope they didn't de-leaf the trees before they were ready so they could have their leaf pile. :roll: :lol: -- and I think so too on the numbers for Mannie. He's down a little at +2, so that is good. I hope he takes his time so we don't end up bouncing again from numbers falling too fast. paws crossed! -- and yes on the snow thing - it was just the NCascades, and at 6000 foot elevation.I just found it ironic that that was the place I had hoped to hike today. I didn't want to risk running into the white stuff, as little as it would have been. area is difficult enough to hike without that. :lol: I hope all your flooding issues are getting better. Takes time I know...

Hi guys. Mannie it looks like you still like to keep your Mom busy. Not as much bungie jumping though I hope. I'm glad the kitties are having a good time at Camp Stu. Tori so loved the trips she took there. It was a very special time.

BARB! HI! , and thanks fr the visit!! I hope you guys are doing OK., It was so nice to have a condo from you. And yes - Mannie is still keeping me busy,.... still up to his antics, all when he feels like it. makes life interesting! The bungee jumps have lessened alot - he's actually doing very well. Today was not one of his better ones, but I think that is in part to his trying to settle into a new dose. it takes him a while... I so agree on camp stu. that has become a very special place for all the kitties now.

Hi Christie - at least he is no longer "that color". too funny on the sweater! I agree! It should be the official LL pink floor sweater. We could pass it around from kitty to kitty. hmmmmm... a plan is emerging here... we n=might have to get a spear ate one just for Binks, as you are right!: it probably would not come back, or he'd stay permanently pink so he could legitimately keep it. :lol: :lol:
