Morning ~O) ~O) we're getting a later start, as I had an early medical appt. Maggie has Vetty appt. today at 4:00; they squeezed her in that time. Maggie's been giving me some signals regarding a possible UTI. Yesterday she peed on the carpet right next to the LB. I've noticed an unusual thirst and large pee clumps. Very vocal, too. Add on her high numbers even with a dosecrease. Normally just a drop makes a big difference. Right now she's helping me type, so if there any typos, Maggie did it!
She almost seems okay today just because she heard us talking that she may have a UTI! No peeing on the carpet today next to the LB, so that's good. Wish us luck and vines, thanks.

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258 Vet visit today

Good vetty vines for Maggie today! I hope it turns out to be something that simple to fix.

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258 Vet visit today

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258; +8 248 Vetty today

+8 248

Thanks Tamara, Anne & Muffin, Devon and Dyana for the visits and the Vetty vines. Maggie seems overly affectionate today, wanting to be everywhere I am and on my lap right now typing. I don't know if she is buttering me up thinking she will get out of a Vetty visit! I love it though! She is also constantly wanting to eat.

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258; +8 248 Vetty today

Big Hugs & Love from us!!

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258; +8 248 Vetty today

Paws crossed the vetty and you get to the bottom (no pun intended) of Maggie's high numbers and pee problem. It's just not fair for a girl to have her poo and now her pee discussed in public! :o

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258; +8 248 Vetty today

Good luck with the vetty visit today. The IM vet I saw at CSU recommended getting urine sample tested every 6 months for a diabetic cat because cats are so good at hiding any UTI. I'm also sending vines to miss Maggie, on the chance you might need some.

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258; +8 248 Vetty today

Sending good vetty vines for Mags. Poor thing, one problem on top of another. If it is a UTI be sure to ask for pain meds.

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258; +8 248 Vetty today

Hope everything goes well at the vet today and you get some answers.

Hi Ann

Poor Maggie, I hope you find an easy fix to Maggie's problem ...sending lots of good vetty vines to your sweet girl

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258; +8 248; PMPS 260

PMPS 260

Thanks Roni, Wendy, Anne & Zener, Ann & Tess and Carla for the visits and good Vetty vines.
I know, it doesn't seem fair for a girl to have both her poo and pee discussed in public (per Zener) so much lately. At least she stayed on the yellow floor and no pink. Thanks and catch up later.

Re: 9/17 Maggie AMPS 183; +2 207; +6 258; +8 248; PMPS 260

Hope it's always the easiest answer.

Sure want Maggie to feel better.

Thanks Amy and Rhiannon for thinking of Maggie and for the vines. Maggie had a good exam, and the Vet took b/w for a senior panel and also urinalysis. Her teeth are okay, and he's pleased with how Maggie is doing with the Megacolon issues with the Cisapride and other two meds. Now we just have to get the results tomorrow and take it from there. It sure sounds like a UTI but could also be her renal disease. She was starving when I came home, so Maggie had some Wellness Turkey, and I'll give her a treat of Beechnut chicken bf foru being such a good patient. She lets the one Vet Tech cradle her in his arms, but she wiggles out of my arms when I try it. I'm beat and starving myself. I was lucky to get the last parking space in the lot, thank goodness. Thanks everyone for your good thoughts for Magie.

Thinking of you and Maggie and sending tons of healing vines! They will get to the bottom of it. She has had a rough couple of months. Hang in there! Big hugs!!!

MAGGIE!!!! KTSS to the recuse! we are coming! and what is this with you letting the vet tech cradle you? HUH? You are so brave - i never do that.... they freak me out. Ok then - we is coming! I gots lots of lavender - girls like lavender, right? see you soon! ~~ Mannie

HI Ann - I am sorry I missed your post this AM. I must have been headed out eh door as you were headed in. I am glad that Maggie had a good exam. I hope the results are good too. Hard to wait for them, isn't it. We will think positive tonight.

Bummer on the numbers. stress related some I am sure... come on down Maggie!

I hope your appt went well too. Kudos on getting the last parking spot - what a relief. that would not have been cool if there were no spaces! have a great evening, a good dinner, and a nice glass of wine... you certainly deserve all three. :-D :-D

Thank you Melissa & Tarragon and Michelle & Mannie, for the Vety vines. Yes, she sure has had a couple of rough months. I thought dealing with the Megacolon was a challenge, so if this is a UTI, hopefully a round of antibiotics will cover it if it is the UTI! No worries Michelle, as I didn't post until mid morning as I had an early morning appt., just routine. We got squeezed in at 4:00, as it was a busy day.
Yes, Mannie bring the KTSS and I love lavender, the more the better! My Vet Tech carries me like a baby, and I really love it, as he is young and handsome, oops, don't tell Vyktor! Well, guess it is ok as he is a hoomis

Hi Ann,

I was waiting for a vet report but I guess there isn't much yet until the tests come back. I hope they're good. I'll ttyt for the results.

Hugs,
Melanie & Racci

Aww, little Maggie. Mmm, I'm wondering how she knows the vet tech is handsome. How would she know unless someone told her? Who would that be, hmmmm, Aaaaannnnn? ;-)

Ann

I'm so sorry Miss Maggie has been having such a difficult time lately...poor sweet girl. I hope she does not have a UTI but that is better than her renal issues progressing.

Did the vet do a cystocentesis and culture and sensitivity? I hope so..that's the only way to know whether she really has a UTI.

Sending you many hugs, heading vines for Mags, and I hope you are better, too.

I sendin my boxing kanagroo around to take care of that vet tech AnnBean

Mags Ize on my way to give you a proper cuddle, the way only I can do it, then you forget that handsome vet tech! - love Vyktor xxx

Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Ann, I missed Maggie's condo yesterday. I hope you get your results today and hoping, if it is a UTI, antibiotics will fix it right up. Sending lots of healing vines to Miss Maggie and you today.
