Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS! L just love ~O) ), and Happy TUNA Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is TUNA TUESDAY!!! In honor of Tuna Tuesday, once again Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, want to make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! The tuna cheese been perfected, and even with the added tuna and nip, I have to admit that they are pretty good! And, as a side benefit we have TUNA WATER too! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!

I hope everyone had a great Monday. Mine was great. Weather has been just awful the last few days - lots of rain, lots of thunder and lightning. It was hard to say what yesterday would do, it was such an assortment of all kinds of things predicted. I had wanted to go hike, but weather conditions just about everywhere said nothing but MAJOR WET.... SO I elected to take on a mini road trip instead. Here's what I wrote in last nights post: "Happy Monday night everyone. YAY! It's almost Tuesday! After much deliberation this morning, and charting out weather systems, and consulting road maps, I ended up on a mini road trip, to visit one of my favorite rivers here: the Skykomish. I had considered a hike in between the Yakima and Mt Rainier area, but well... it was a 3.5 hour dive, with no certainty of good weather: that the sun they said was there actually would be. Who knows if it was the right choice, but it was fun. I decided to save the other river hike for a more certain weather day. So....... I figured it I was going to get wet it might as well be on my fav river. ;-) i ended up just doing a trip along HWY 2, and the Skykomish, making several stops along the way, exploring as much of the river shore I could: sometimes 2 miles, sometime a few hundred yards. I had all kinds of stuff show today, lots of rains too, a few minutes, like 5, of sunshine while was at Beckler. That sure was pretty. I also went to Jack's Pass too. Spent a couple of hours at both of those, as they area my fav stopping places along the river, and Nicholas's too. All in all a really nice day on the river. On the way there I made a side Trip up by Index on the Index-Galena Road - the one that washed out a few years ago, just to see how it was. LOL: still washed out. What was really cool was that that section of the river, at the site of the washout, was loaded with salmon, on the run. AWESOME!: what a treat that was. I stayed some time just to watch them run." There are about three videos, maybe four, in the photo album that show some of the salmon. Picassa link: Skykomish River Road Trip

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   They have been good kitties!   I have nothing odd oo un-explained or "OMG" to report.... even Lola is on her best behavior. Fancy that? I don't know what to do.... she's behaving!  Well, there is one thing.... She has decided that when she wants to sit on my lap, that jumping directly onto it is an no no. She thinks it is far better to take a flying leap at my back, climb over my shoulders, and then find the lap. You gotta love it.  and I made it home on time, welcoming committee was waiting, and the house was in one piece. SWEET! It seems that yesterday was been a nap day for them, can't say that I blame them, as it was so dark and gloomily outside. Might as well sleep, right? and rest up for the marathon run sessions done several times nightly. That part has not changed.... You gotta love tat too! YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille. cat_pet_icon

Have a great day everyone. not too much going on here today. Maybe some cleaning.... YUCK on that. Later today I am off to Seattle later to visit my Seattle friend. YaHOO!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Hey Lil Bit Pit - You know how much I just LOVE tuna tuesday! I'm washing my paws and everything in anticipation of my yummy tuna water! See

And this is what I have to say for anyone who doesn't like tuna tuesday!

Hurry up Lil Bit Pit and make your deliveries. I'm hungry and waiting for my tuna water. Ooh today what you add some pieces of tuna in it. Not too many, just a few.

thanks!

Signed Maui the Magnificent, washed and ready for breffis

MAUI! GF! no worries! i LUBS tuna Tuesday too, and those pies! it's the nip tuna cheese ya know.... Paw Prints pizza has been diligently saving all the tuna water. They wants to add it to their line, buts I made them swear they would save you some. OOOOOOOOOOOO!! I LIKES the addition of the tuna garnish in the water. Mega cool idea. I so know on those that don't like tuna water. uhhhhhh.... are there any? Ok - I gots three pitchers full and am on my way. See ya in a few! ~~Elsa, Lil BIT PIT, hoping not to spill a drop of tuna water....

Hillary - ~O) ~O) ~O) LOVE the photos. Maui is such a beauty! I miss having black cats.

Thanks Michelle,

Tell you a story. I initially found Maui at a shelter to give her to my brother. While at the shelter with a friend, she put Maui in arms and she snuggled into me. Whenever I approached another cat, she'd growl. When I moved away, she snuggled.

Think she was telling me something  and dummy me continued window shopping.

I brought her home and was going to take her to my brother the next day. Only something wasn't right. She had a major URI. I called my vet and forced her to give me an immediate appointment. The vet gave fluids, ABs, tests, etc and told me had I not forced my way in (earliest appointment was 2 weeks) she would have died.

I cared for Maui, treated her illness, called my brother and said, find your own cat, I'm keeping this one, had to deal with a very angry Sydney, who when I picked her up to talk to her, wanted to be left alone, I refused and she got a look on her face that I soon learned was her I'm pissed, don't mess with me look and did just that, peed on me! .....ha ha

Eventually Sydney and Maui learned to get along. But those first few days.....

I was really angry at the shelter (which was part of a vet practice - run separately, but part of their facility) for not treating Maui and allowing her to be sick as long as she was. She was in a back cage and overlooked, had it not been for my friend finding her.....I don't even want to think what would have become of this amazing creature, who transformed my life.

Black kitties rule!

Hi Hillary - wow, what an incredible story. and a good one. :-D She had adopted you from the get go. It is bothersome that the shelter did not treat her, or notice that she was sick. Perhaps Maui knew you'd take care of her, picked the bean she wanted for sure. Good for you for insisting on an appt. I dread what would have been the outcome if you hadn't. OMG on Sydney' reaction. I was afraid that is what I would get when we brought in Bug and Lola, but Elsa adapted well, quickly. What a relief! it is great how these kitties transform our lives. it was that way with Mannie too. and I agree: Black kitties RULE! There are two at the local shelter here now. hmmmm.... no, can't do it. ;-)

There are two at the local shelter here now. hmmmm.... no, can't do it

Are you sure? @-) @-)

Maybe you can..... @-) @-)

Nah I get it. You have a nice balance and everyone gets along, why mess with it.....I have to say the same thing if I see someone....and then I have to back away from the kitty, so it can't hook me with it's power!

A BIG YES on this:
Hillary & Maui said:
if I see someone....and then I have to back away from the kitty, so it can't hook me with it's power!
I'd leave that shelter with all of them!     At one point in time we had 5 here, with two strays that came to visit. @-) @-) TRUE! There is one there, a gray long hair Tabby that has been there over 200 days, a senior kitty at 14 years. The owner died and there was nowhere for her to go... aiyee! I need to stop looking at that website. ;-)

Sorry about your weather. I hope it clears up. It is gray here today but we need it to break the heat. Sounds like a great hike. I love to walk in the rain as long as I don't care what I look like. Oh wow on the kids. A nap day? They are slacking, especially Miss Crazy Lola. Have a wonderful day Michelle!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the weather.... getting to be that time of year here when the rains start in more frequently. bummer! We will hope for a great fall instead. ;-) THX too on yesterday - it was really nice. I so agree on the rain, I don't mind it one bit. :-D Slacking fits.... though as of this moment Lola had decided that a whacky marathon is in order: been stuck in the blinds twice as she flies by, knocked Bug out of the way twice, and managed to avoid any dirt tossing or sending any magazines flying. The thundering herd is hard at it.

Yup you do.

When I was at my max, I had my four inside.

Buster's mom outside, Buster's uncle/father - Mr. Tom (yes she is a child of incest) and two other males that hung out on my porch.

The males are now long gone, Buster's mom whom I called Baby Cat for years, her mom was a tortie (and is long gone) and now I call Baby cat either Baby or BC, it's been 10 years since she had Buster and she is probably about 11 or 12 now. My porch is her safe zone, food, water, warm, dry shelter, for a feral she looks good and is doing well. In all this time, I had to vet her twice - once for a URI and last year when a mean tom cat bit her on the leg and it got infected.

Here is a link to Baby Cat, Baby Buster and Mr. Tom - when they lived on my porch, before I brought her in. You can see the family resemblance and yes, Mr. Tom was a mess a true tom cat - who populated many in his time here!

Hi Hillary :-D WOW, and thanks for sharing that, especially the photos! Mr Tom certainly is just that! he just looks 100% tom cat. BC sure is a pretty kitty. I think it's great that you provide her with a safe zone. Way cool. And Buster - very cute. love the baby photos!! CUTIE PIE! Funny how us cat people will care for what comes to us, whether it be one, or 6. Never in my wildest dreams ever think I'd have 5, with 2 outside. Crazy!, but nice. In a way I kinda miss those days of wall to wall cats. :-D

I wouldn't get too comfy there, Michelle...it's what those Musketeers want while they are silently plotting ;-) !!!

Have a great evening!!

Lola does like to keep things interesting. What a way to get on your lap.

I know what you mean about wanting to take them all home. That's what I want to do. I have 6 kitties right now. The most I've had at one point was 14. That was crazy, but I wouldn't have wanted to give any of them away. They were all inside kitties.

Hi Amy :-D oh no..... no comfy here, not unless Lola is in my sight and I can see her sleeping....  LOL on the musketeers and their plotting. A FOR SURE!

Hi Carla :-D Yupp, do you believe that! up and over, then the lap.   silly cat! Oh wow - 14 cats? that is so great! I wouldn't have wanted to give them away either. no way, I would have kept them too, crazy or not. :-D Very cool on your six. :-D :-D :-D

Great pics as usual Michelle. Loved the video on the salmon going up river. I'm sure Nicholas will enjoy seeing that. Was that a picture of a brewery tasting room in there? Funny to see that mixed in with the pictures of nature.

It got sunny here this afternoon and looks to be good tomorrow. Hope you get a good outing in tomorrow.

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) no problem on the late, been there and all that. Thx on all, and I hope you enjoy the photos. :-D

Morning Wendy ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics. and the video - what a treat those salmon were. on the sign - forgot it was in there. That used to be a cafe that I stopped in at in the road there, until they went out of business. It was a friends fav cafe n HWY2, so I took the photo for him, to show him what was going in there. THX on today - we are supposed to have sun too - sure hope so! At least so far the fog hasn't shown and there is no rain . YAY! Might get that sun after all.
