Steven, Harvey's student, called this morning to say that my boy was a little more alert today and ate some this morning. They have decided to resume Cypro to see if they can get him to eat some more. He said the sodium level came down, but rather quickly, so they are monitoring closely. This reminds me of watching BGs and bounces! Harvey was never a bouncy cat, so I guess he's making up for it.

I won't be able to go see him this evening, as our friends are coming to our house for dinner and cards. They thought that would be easier on me than making us drive to Sac, although it turns out it would have been better the other way, as we would have been able to stop and see him. Too late to change the plan now. I'll go tomorrow evening. Hopefully I'll see a big improvement.

Thanks once again for your continued vines and prayers. This is dragging out much longer than my heart and my bank account like! Harvey never was one to coooperate, though, so I shouldn't be surprised.. o_O

Must go get some cleaning done...

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug:

Baby steps and hopefully each one is a step toward improved health for Harvey.

More vines and prayers. I hope you will enjoy your friends and an evening with them.

continuing prayers and vines from us too:bighug::bighug::bighug:
I am glad that Harveys student reports improvement, I hope his electrolytes settle down soon.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Countless prayers, healing vines, and clean clear energy coming to you and Harvey.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Mega vines, prayers and :bighug::bighug::bighug:. Wondering if the electrolyte imbalance is from not having a strong appy. Have they indicated any reasons? No need to answer, just take care of yourself and DH.

The IM said the Pancreatitis is definitely a factor. His Spec FpL was >50.

Thank you all so much for your ongoing support. It really means a lot.

I am also grateful for Steven. He said they discussed switching cases with another student, to give them both more experience, but he asked to stay with Harvey. He says he wants to get him well. He mentioned they had just studied diabetes. I didn't get the chance to discuss it with him, but when I see him tomorrow, I'm going to tell him about the Board and share some of our issues with vets. I think he's receptive enough to take it the right way.

Oh my! Looks like many of our kitties are feeling this full moon lately. I'm so sad to hear about Harvey's struggles lately. Happy to hear that he seems to be on the mend. Sending loads of vines and purrs :bighug:

That is SO special!!...and I know it has to make you more comfortable that he has a continuation of care with someone who obviously really cares about him!!

Hoping for even better news with your next update...and of course continuing to send prayers and vines for China's boy!

Tricia,

I am thinking about you & Harvey... and have read the last couple condos. How hard to be apart, but it sure sounds like he is getting EXCELLENT care!!! :)

What a great vet student Steven is. Wonderful that you will introduce him to the FDMB. Yay!

Healing vines for Harvey and hopes for you that you can relax and enjoy your company. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Keeping you and Harvey in my thoughts. I hope Harvey's sodium levels stabilise and you can bring him home soon.
Sounds like Steven is a keeper!
:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Steven sounds like a gem! We need tons around the world like him;). I hope you're having a nice evening with your friends, and that Harvey can come home to his beans soon. I know when I had to leave Chyna for two and a half days for her dental/needed IV first etc it was an eternity, I can't imagine longer:(. Continued prayers, vines, and hugs:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Continued prayers and vines. Great that he's eating and becoming more interested in the world around him! Hope they get him sorted soon so he can come home (Steven sounds wonderful, how terrific of him to want to see Harvey through this!). Many hugs! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Continued vines and prayers for a speedy recovery for sweet Harvey, I hope he is feeling better when you see him tomorrow. Try to relax and enjoy your evening with friends :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Tricia, Stephen sounds like a wonderful vet student. I'm glad he's staying on Harvey's case. Sending lots more vines for your boy.

A good nurse means as much , and sometimes more that the best specialists on earth. Good for Steven.
Sorry that Harvey's taking his time to recover, but as you mentioned, that is his wont:cat:. Perhaps you'd like to join me in my plans for a too-big-to-fail-bank robbery? ;)
Hugs and healing vines, prayers, and purrs.
