Happy Tuesday and sending healing vines to Jupiter and all others who need them.
Gracie is doing fine today.....purring, happy, and sunning herself on her catio. She had a small vomit yesterday morning right before her shot and I wonder if she was working on getting another hairball up. She was a little quiet off and on yesterday but was her perky little self last night and this morning. I think she is just not used to these high numbers. However, we just had blood and urine work done and a full abdominal u/s. Both the IM vet and Dr. B checked her teeth and gums closely and saw no reason for any concerns there; she has no gingivitis and only a tiny bit of tartar on one tooth. She has no sensitive gums. Neither vet thought a dental was necessary at this time.
We're not really certain where these numbers are coming from but I have this theory that Gracie seems to be seasonal in her diabetes. Last year, from mid Sept to mid Feb, she looked horrible. And then in Feb, 2013, she did exactly as she did in Feb, 2012....started getting lovely long green cycles with minimal bouncing. She's stayed really well regulated until just recently. We are addressing the potentially obvious first...the things we can control. We've had some issues with this pack of pens and since the current pen was the last one in the pack, I started a new pen from a new pack today. If that doesn't change things, I'm going to start increasing her doses by closer to .25u until we hit a breakthrough again.
The boys are doing well and we are a happy peeing and pooing household
We opened a can of the new Cowboy Cookout for the boys last night and it was a HUGE hit!!!
Yesterday was a crazy busy day and today is stacking up to be the same. My cousin is coming on Sunday through the next Friday and I've lots to get done. Have a great day. Think
