9/17 Binx AMPS 148, +2 157, +4 155

Last post

I’ll be happy if we can just stay in the blues today (anti-jinx and paws crossed)!

Binx has diarrhea 5!! times yesterday, so I need to monitor that. Sadie has a follow-up appointment Friday so if Binx doesn’t improve today, I might try to piggyback on her appointment and bring him in too.

Hope everyone has a safe surf today 🤗
Oh no, Briana! I hope he’s ok.
Is Binx eating ok?
I always get worried about pancreatitis if they get loose stools frequently.
(That’s how it began with Ivy).
Are you doing anything for the diarrhea?
Do you have S Boulardii in the house? That really helped Ivy a lot.

I hope it clears up soon!!! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Thanks, Staci!! 🖤 he’s eating ferociously as ever, and that paired with the soft stool has me thinking MAYBE he’s crossed the threshold into hyperthyroid territory, which is why I’m thinking bloodwork might be good. I’ve given him some FortiFlora Pro right now (only probiotic we have on hand at the minute). I’ll see how that does and then call the vet tomorrow if anything.

When Ivy was diagnosed with her hyper-t, what were her symptoms?

I would definitely get a good probiotic to keep on hand.
And some Jarrow S. Boulardii too (Amazon carries it) Good to have In the house (forti flora is not a good one, but it’s good as an appetite enhancer)

I didn’t notice any signs with Ivy, it was found in her T4 lab results. So she was not showing any symptoms.
They started her on Methimazole right away.
(still not controlled) 😢

I hope Binx doesn’t have that. 🙏

It looks like that brand might not be available in Canada 😢 would you be able to send me an image so I can try to match the same product details… I think they have different amounts?

And I hope so too! But his T4 keeps pointing that direction (high end of normal), so I feel like I’m just waiting for the scale to tip. Who knows

The MOS is especially helpful for gut health but supposedly has a bitter taste that some cats may not like.

Visibiome is another good probiotic. Any Human probiotic will work, too. The CFU count and number of bacteria strains is what matters. Prebiotics & Probiotics for Cats: Healing Inflammation and gut dysbiosis

Thanks for posting the product image and information for Briana @squeem3

I just empty 1/2 capsule 2x daily as maintenance in Ivy’s food and luckily she eats it along with many other supplements in her meal 🤞
