She's juuuuust still on the sundeck, but she may be eyeing her tutu! We're in week 2 of the abx for her UTI, so I'm hoping to see the numbers drop even more soon. /crossedfingers

Yes, the eating thing is quite a relief! I'm bummed, though, to have discovered that she love, loves, LOVES Authority Indoor Chicken Pate...just when PetSmart has discontinued it. I only bought a few cans because with her, I never know. She didn't like the chicken pate they carry now. Oh well...she seems to like Grreat Choice just fine, too!

Re: 9/16 Sunshine AMPS 295

I'm lucky all of mine will eat just about any Friskies I set in front of them but now there's a Friskies shortage so we've been trying to find a backup food that is acceptable to 16 finicky palettes.

And in this half a horse town my choices are pretty limited. Since the nearest Pet Smart, Petco etc is over 200 miles away. Urrrggg

Yikes! Okay, I'll be grateful for the fact that I have a PetSmart, Petco, pet boutique, and Wal-mart within "shop over lunch" distance. I grew up in a town that's a half hour away from anything, but that's still not as bad as what you have! Of course, you probably get a peace-and-quiet tradeoff most of the time.

Re: 9/16 Sunshine AMPS 295

Well I did before we moved to the new house now instead of chasing stray cows and chickens out of the back yard I'm within walking distance from downtown and 3 blocks from the train tracks.

Hastings isn't really a true small town but for decades its had a really bad group in charge of attracting businesses here. Very much an "Old Boys Club" When I was a kid here it was fairly thriving as the highway ran through it but back in the 80s two by passes went in the took a lot of the traffic around us. Now only the lost find us. Lol

So now unless you want fast food, to get drunk or atone for your sins you're out of luck here lol. No pet stores, no craft stores, no fabric stores and only 2 grocery stores besides Walmart. But about 50 churches and about 60 bars lol

Re: 9/16 Sunshine AMPS 295

i order all my cat food from Amazon.com and have it delivered right to my door. if you order over $35 they ship for free so i buy for the month. it's great.

Re: 9/16 Sunshine AMPS 295

Amazon does have a lot of great stuff...but not the Authority Indoor Chicken. :( I tend to order from them a lot, since I have Amazon Prime Student shipping.

Mel, my hometown is one that people pretty much just drive through. And complain about the smell of the pulp and paper mill! LOL It is a true small town, with 2 stop lights, 1 grocery store, and not much else. Oh, some fast food places did go in after I left for college. If you haven't lived there for 3 generations, your family is still "new"!

Re: 9/16 Sunshine AMPS 295

Sounds a lot like here even with a college in town. Luckily I'm from one of the "old" families and married into the same. (My great great grandmother was the first white woman in the Nebraska territories).

But folks still refer to houses as the old so and so's place instead of a street address. Lol.

Woohoo! Glad to hear she's eating better. How much longer is she on the antibiotics?

Yep, she clearly missed her tutu today. I'm 99% sure she's the one who left barf strewn artfully across the first floor. Thankfully, most of it was not on carpet!

She has 6 more days of antibiotics.
