Wow. . . how low can she go? Limbo! :-D

Here's a question if anybody's out there. . . does an infection ALWAYS increase BG?

Someone mentioned on Facebook that her peeing outside her litter box room could mean a UTI. She doesn't seem to be feeling particularly great, though she sure is mega-purring.

I bought the urine pH indicator crystals and it must be defective. They didn't change color at all. They didn't change color when I put water on them. They didn't change color when I put vinegar on them. . . not that I know what a low or high pH would indicate. . .

If you suspect a UTI, you might want the vet to test a urine sample for you, to check for bacteria.

Great numbers for day 6! dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat

hmm, does it ALWAYS increase the BG's? i think it usually does, but ALWAYS . . . ? there's just about nothing that you can say always about with a diabetic cat.

peeing outside the box can be a behavioral issue too - did you switch types of litter? is the box clean enough? i think i'd keep an eye on things and if there was other signs of a UTI i'd get it checked, or if it continues.

Nice numbers! woot!
