What a night - awfully nice green surf for Mannie last night. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: I expect he surfed there for a bit, we wound up that cycle with a 159 @ amps. Good job Mannie! cat_pet_icon 207 @ +1. What was such fun about last night was to watch Tess and Mannie match number for number, test for test. What are the odds of that? Fun, and very twilight zone... Loved it!, even if it meant I was up into the witching hour. Go kitties!

Even with the poke-a-thon last night Mannie was up and ready to go this morning. Breffis #1, and #2 consumed - still a member of the clean plate club. He supervised my getting ready, just like he does every morning. Made his way into the "office" to make sure my hike gear was stowed and mama bean was not heading out to places unknown. Interior has been hastily patrolled. Off to nap in his catnip stash. He anxiously awaits the arrival of his friends, and Miss Moonie who promised puffed shrimp today - though he can't quite figure out how one puffs shrimp. A very nice day shaping up here in Mannie-land. :-D :-D

Have a great Thursday everyone. I am off shortly to meet a kitty that I will be cat-sitting for when her beans go on a three week vacation. 3 weeks?? - how great is that? Nice!

Wow! Mannie had quite a night yesterday. From where he started out to how far he's come today... it gives me (and Roo) great encouragement. I'm sorry I missed out on last night, as stuck as I was in my house! (could only pop in every now and again - no Condo checking!).

I love your shared routine. Isn't it wonderful to have that company? (Particularly of someone who isn't about to " :shock: " at whatever outfit you pick out...)

You know, when you described Mannie's house-check, my mind immediately supplied an image of a cat, walking around in security garb, holding a flashlight... I'm probably the only person who would find that funny, but I couldn't help but share.

Funny on the house check thing. there was a lady who used to post here - she had the same image. Mannie became "cop cat" and had is deputy. It was fun. They had their patrols that they ran every morning. :lol: and with a flashlight. :lol: :lol:

And yes - Mannie has indeed come along way. All this takes an incredible amount of time, and patience, and belief in our furbabies. Roo will get there too. Eventually they and their internal organs figure it all out. We all just want it sooner than what it sometimes is.

Hi Michelle, Finally got around to viewing your photos of the Cascade Pass hike. Oh, wow! They are absolutely gorgeous. Those alpine meadows, especially, must have been a real treat to walk through. When we do mountain hikes here we seldom have views until we get to near the top. The rest is through forest.
Did you get some sleep last night? (of course, I keep forgetting that your time is 3 hours earlier than ours!). Anyway, enjoy the day and let's hope Mannie has good numbers again.

Hi Ann! yeah - conscious, barely. That amps this morning is kind of a fog.... :roll: Got the coffee moving, and things are improving. Mannie is mid blue now - I hope he will stay there. I have to visit someone whom I am cat sitting for - and need to be gone a bit. So - Mannie: a blue surf for now, OK?

Hi Ella - Cascade Pass really was quite the hike - one of the few where you start out with a view, and it just keeps going. The first couple of miles were in and out of forest, but WOW: once through that, with every trail turn, new vistas just kept opening up. This is the first year I have ventured into the north cascades, and know now that I will be back. Exceptional stuff! The meadows were great - I can only imagine how gorgeous they will be when full fall color hits in a few weeks. Might have to go back - if I can get in there. That region is the first to get hit with the snows.... figure I may have another month, if lucky.

And to all - sort of on the sleep - how about you Ann? My head hit the pillow at 11:30, up at 4:30 and we started all over again. Not much - but it is drizzly and overcast today - no doubt not much on the agenda short of the cat sit meet and greet. Hey - maybe a nap!

Looking great Mannie yeah I cannot imagine being gone that long but I cat- sit for my DS next year when he goes to China for a month so thats going to be a long month for me I know and for his cats as well. Anyway Mannie sure is looking good :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Thanks Lisa - awesome night for him last night, nice blue surf today. So nice to see. And wow on the month long cat sit. i hope I survive these 3 weeks - long time, but the kitty is an easy one to care for. YAY!

Hi Barb - :lol: :lol: yeah, I think Ann and I were the entertainment committee last night. it was just so surreal - those two kitties kept matching numbers, up to +6, maybe longer. And Ann- back at it again this AM - nice green surf going on there - all day! Mannie is blue, had a decent day today. I'm happy with that. We shall see what he does tonight...

Hi Barb! I remember those days - I used to be elated when I got a yellow one. Checkers will get there. Are you still feeding at the front end of the cycle? It really helped Mannie with his bounces, and once those lessened we started seeing the flatter cycles, and with a few dose adjustments, finally we can see a blue surf, even a green one now and then. it just takes time, patience. None of it was instantaneous for us.

Michelle what a good person to cat sit for 3 weeks! I have done it for my neighbor years ago, and she always watched mine, but she moved--
