Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug want to make their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! I have to admit that they are pretty good! They finally learned to keep the cheery cherry whip on the pies, and stop squirting it all over the kitchen. So..... lots left of the cheery cherry whip for my brews... YUM! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!AND!!!! The CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE has been so popular that it is now part of the cheery cherry Monday line-up. ! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. Mine was rather low key, relaxed alot, read some, enjoyed some time outdoors too. I managed a shore walk yesterday, early in the morning, in what proved to be a very dense fog. It was truly kinda awesome. I love fog, love being out in it, love what it does to what lies before us. It gives things such an aura. If one lets themselves see it that way, the experience can be outstanding. So it was yesterday: just me, fog, and fog water droplets that clung to everything, including me. a one on one experience. SWEET! and... no one else was on the shore yesterday morning, except for a couple of guys fishing.... so of course I took a bunch of photos... duh.... They are some what repetitive from the news from the day before, but I did get alot more of the shore. Yesterday there was much more fog than the day before: More Meadowdale: Fog, fall colors... and (!!), check out this video! I loose this. it is not everyday that one gets to see barnacles and how they work: Barnacles at work!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   We had had the most interesting weather... From dense fog in the morning to a rather nasty thunder and lightning storm in the late afternoon, early evening. We even had some horizontal lightning: awesome! Every minute we are bring hit with something. It was great! Lola and Bug weren't too sure they liked all the wet out there his morning. For once Lola didn't try and escape. Bug just went to sleep in his bed. Elsa, who had gone out, sure didn't stay long. She let out the most pitiful meow when she came back in: "MOMMMMMM! It's wet out there! Make it go away!" sorry Elsa... ;-) When the storm hit last evening, Bug and Elsa were true to form: off to sleep through it. Lola on the other and spent the whole time running from window to window trying to figure out what that noise was. Then the lightning came, which made her jump back a few spaces. Right back at it with that too: room to room, trying to figure out what it was. Such curiosity that one. You gotta love it: no fear just so so curious!

Have a great day everyone! I'm uncertain what will be here today. I had hoped to hike today, but well.... the weather isn't exactly favorable. If I can find a place with decent weather until about 2 or so I may take a chance and head to the hills... Guess we shall see what unfolds here today.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

That is a really cool video of the barnacles. Wow on your storm yesterday. Crazy Lola. Furball has jumped in the window to see what's going on when we've had storms before too.

Hey Lil Bit Pit,

I hope I didn't miss cheery monday! I so loves cheery mondays and really hope I'm not too late and didn't miss it. I waited and waited for my bean to get out of bed and she wouldn't and when she finally did, she wouldn't feed us! I yelled loudly to let it be known that I was hungry and demanded my breffis in bed! Finally, she came in and served me! But it took a really long time! my tummy was grumbly!

She better not forget my dinner tonight or else!

Signed Maui the Magnificent

You sure had the wild weather yesterday, we just had a couple of booms and that was it. I hope you got out for a hike today. If not, tomorrow is supposed to be much better.

Loved the video of the barnacles. When I was a kid I used to take a rock of barnacles with some sea water home and watch it and return them a couple days later. They are fascinating. I also like the spider web pictures. They are all over here now. There's one out the window as I type.

I get the "mom, make the weather drier - NOW" meow too.

You definitely had some wild weather yesterday! No surprise that Lola was trying to figure out where the lightning was coming from...silly girl! I'm curious to hear what she has to say about snow! Very cool thought on fog. As long as I'm not driving in it, I do find it interesting...

Have a great evening, Michelle!

Hi Michelle,
The fog pics are SUPER! Wow on the spider webs. And the herons. and the driftwood. And the barnacles video is so interesting.

We had a foggy, wet day for our paddle today, but when the sun broke through (the few times that it did), it just lit up the water. Unfortunately my camera was in my pack and it was too windy to try to dig it out!

Hope you got out for your hike today.

Lola's reaction to the thunderstorm is priceless!

Have a great evening,

Ella & Rusty

p.s to Elsa: It was COLD on the water this morning and the espresso was so much appreciated!

Cherry is my night duty bean's favorite fruit, especially if fat and sugar are included. She's reading on her 'puter about cheery cherry Monday fuds and dreaming of nom nom nom. -Zener

Happy Monday night everyone. YAY! It's almost Tuesday! After much deliberation this morning, and charting out weather systems, and consulting road maps, I ended up on a mini road trip, to visit one of my favorite rivers here: the Skykomish. I had considered a hike in between the Yakima and Mt Rainier area, but well... it was a 3.5 hour dive, with no certainty of good weather: that the sun they said was there actually would be. Who knows if it was the right choice, but it was fun. I decided to save the other river hike for a more certain weather day. So....... I figured it I was going to get wet it might as well be on my fav river. ;-) i ended up just doing a trip along HWY 2, and the Skykomish, making several stops along the way, exploring as much of the river shore I could: sometimes 2 miles, sometime a few hundred yards. I had all kinds of stuff show today, lots of rains too, a few minutes, like 5, of sunshine while was at Beckler. That sure was pretty. I also went to Jack's Pass too. Spent a couple of hours at both of those, as they area my fav stopping places along the river, and Nicholas's too. All in all a really nice day on the river. On the way there I made a side Trip up by Index on the Index-Galena Road - the one that washed out a few years ago, just to see how it was. LOL: still washed out. What was really cool was that that section of the river, at the site of the washout, was loaded with salmon, on the run. AWESOME!: what a treat that was. I stayed some time just to watch them run. I will post the Picassa link on tomorrow's condo.

Hi Carla - THX on the video. oh yes on the weather - crazy enough that it delayed the NFL Sunday night game for an hour!  I so agree on Lola, and Furball. Silly kitties.

Maui! GF! NOPE! It's cheery cherry monday all day long! Good to go! What is up with your bean? Mine as late today too! No excuse!! At least dinner was on time. ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT PIT

Hi Wendy - oh yes on that wild weather. bad enough to delay the televised NFL game.  and welcome to Seattle folks. ;-) I get get out today. Not so much as like as just a trip along a favorite river of mine, I made several stops, some involved some hiking, others did not . It sure was alot of fun. THX on the video! How cool that you'd take them home to watch. Awesome! THX too on the pics. I can't believe the number of spider webs we have - at every turn it seems. LOL on the weather howls!

Hi Amy - we sure did! Lola was so funny - looking everywhere for the source.  oh SNOW! Oh yes - that will be something. now all we need to do is actually get some.  You never know around here.... :) on the fog. you are right on the driving in it... that can be an issue...

Hi Ella - THX on the pics! Thx on all - it was a fascinating day down there. oh wow: fog on your paddle? UI can so see what it looked lie when the sun did come out. Very cool! bummer on your camera -I have done that on occasion, elected not to retrieve it when weather and winds say otherwise. And yes on getting out today - an road trip actually, with some hiking involved. Isn't Lola something else? nothing phases her!

Z-MAN! Your bean is tooooooo funny! I will bring her some thens. and some for us too. just don't tell your bean. I will make yous FD friendly. See ya! ~~ Elsa
