Hi Everyone,
Here we are in the Big Apple. We arrived at about 4 PM. Had a good trip until there was a traffic jam on the Harlem River Drive. And then, when we got in the door the smoke alarm was beeping. It turned out to be the battery (I thought it was hot-wired, but apparently it has a battery, too. The handyman fixed it in a jiffy.). Rusty was a terrific traveler. He was hungry when we got in and ate two helpings of FF T& G. Not much appetite for dinner, however. He prefers to sleep. he has a good PMPS, but I expect him to have a delayed trip bounce tomorrow and generally higher numbers for our stay here, as is his pattern. On Friday night he will have either a fur shot or an 18-hour compromise (more on this later).
It was 34 degrees at home this morning! Here it was in the 70s. My bike, which I took partially apart, seems to have weathered the trip well. At one point Rusty was sitting on it! (i brought my Bike Friday folding bike this time to leave here for the winter/spring. It fits nicely into this tiny studio apartment.). I'll be doing a ride to Hoboken NJ on Thurs. with my old bike club.
Yo Kitties, we'll start out tomorrow in Central Park, like always. The hot dog carts await. More info tomorrow. See you all then.

We hope all is well in LL. sending vines to all in need,
