I was a bad bean again last night - no bedtime check. Bolted awake at 6am, so I got a +9.5 120. Fed the other cats early breffis, as I have no choice once they see me up. Muffin went outside, I left the door open for her and went btb. This morning I added a second small chunk of canned to her bowl. She is hungry, but not eating very much of it. Yet, anyway. Instead she went down and prowled the kitchen and looked in the fridge for something better to eat. Not having any success, she took a few more bites of her food and is now settled here in front of the computer screen for her first nap of the day.

Nice amps Muffin - you dun good! How about a nice green surf today?

I cannot count the number of bedtime checks, of night checks I've missed. Fatigue usually wins out... I know you are not alone on that one. :-D

morning Anne. I slept all night myself last night. Got up in time for the +9 snack. Good numbers for Muffin. I feel really positive for her and the wet food-conversion. I really think you are going to win her over. But she is one stubborn little girl, isn't she?

Thanks Michelle - I decided not to beat myself up about it, what's done is done, and she is fine this morning.

Thanks Kim for the faith and encouragement - I find myself losing those several times a day. I don't want to rush her and lose the tiny little baby steps that we HAVE made, but at the same time I oftentimes feel that it's not going anywhere. She is definitely a stubborn little stinker! I think I'm going to order a scale today so I can make sure she's not losing weight - and that Shnookie IS!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good scale? I know Dr Lisa mentions one, but I'm not sure when that article was written, so wonder if there are more by now?

Good job with transitioning to wet food. It took Curry about a month before she would eat it on her own w/me giving it to her on my fingers....yuck...or putting the bonita flakes on it to entice her.....

And look at that AMPS - 95 ----Nice....Surf, Muffin, surf...

Well today Muffin didn't touch the kibble that had touched the canned food - I even took them out of the bowl for her and she left them. Still tried to knock the bowl on the floor with the canned food in it, making sure I knew she didn't want that, but would welcome some fresh kibble. Kibby is here now to clean up what she refused, and I have not given her anything else, as she did eat 97% of what was there. And ugh, got a jury summons in the mail - can you claim diabetic cat caretaker to get out of it? :lol:

There are a couple of good toddler/pet scales on Amazon I've found recommended by vets and other pet people. They are both on my Amazon wish list... One is the Salter 914 Electronic Baby and Toddler Scale

The other is the Ultrascale MBSC-55. This one is currently about $55 but occasionally goes up in price to near $100! It fluctuates that much!

Oops! Missed the +4, but +4.5 is 96 - surfing nicely today.

Thanks again Krys - I ordered the Salter. Will be here Friday. Haven't gotten to your condo yet today, but hope Kasha is feeling ok today - and you too, of course.

135 @ +8 and that's with no snacks at all today. Maybe she needs more frequent turkey snacks? Really trying to figure out why she always goes higher around mid cycle. She's having a slice of turkey now, but I guess that won't give me much info, since she seems to generally drop from here to pmps anyway.

pmps 77! Was not expecting that!

No Thanksgiving Day Dinner tonight - it's been in a fridge for a while now, and I don't want to risk giving something too old to turn her away from the teeny tiny steps we've taken so far. So tonight tried ProPlan chicken and liver, and went back down to just a teeny tiny bit as it smells a little stronger. She was begging for dinner for a good hour and a half. Maybe I should've given her 2 slices of turkey at +8, or 1 at +9, or...or..or... :YMSIGH: I just wish she would eat the canned already.
