Nice PM cycle for Mannie yesterday, with a slow descent to the greens :mrgreen: Good job Mannie! cat_pet_icon I would hope that he surfed the yellows while I was gone yesterday. I elected to feed him 6% FF, since I was out on an all day hike, and just wanted him to be safe. It was nice to come home to a 185, strategy must have been OK. We are at a 226 this morning, not too bad of a start. I hope for a return to the blues...

His paw seems to be healing nicely. He's more likely to let me look at it now, without the growls. No swelling, or oozing etc. As for the covenia, after day 2 no symptoms that would indicate it has caused him any problems.

It was so nice to come home yesterday and be greeted by such a happy purring overly affectionate kitty. He either missed me, or just wanted his dinner. :lol: He did check this morning to make sure that my hike gear was stowed, and that I wasn't planning on being gone all day. :roll: Today we at back to the normal routine: purrs, cuddles, breffis #1 and #2 eaten. Interior has been secured, exterior awaits the sunrise. For now - napping on top of his catnip stash. What a life!

Have a great day everyone! I hope to be able to go to DT Seattle this afternoon, visit my fellow ex-co-workers, share a cup of coffee or two. Ought to be fun.

breffis #3 eaten, and the boy is off with a bolt to secure the outdoor perimeter. We have a gorgeous, but chilly, sunrise this morning - all shades of pink and lavenders. WOW - best go stare at it for a bit. :-D

279 @ +2. hmmmmm, up a bit. maybe a food spike, though he didn't get anything with much carbs. Come on down Mannie!

Agrees with Pat. I like seeing at a glance what kitties did the day and night before.....so I can be jealous. :lol:
I'm so glad Mannie's paw is healing nicely, and no problems with the Cov.

Hi Michelle and Mannie good to hear the paw is healing and so far no side effects from the drug so many vets are reaching to use this drug now I think for its ease of use my vets rarely use it and I honestly have not looked into it myself they think its overused only one time when I asked them about it since one of my abys that lives in st louis was given a shot of this drug instead of 2 weeks of clavamox and so I asked them about it and they told me too many vets are abusing it and after seeing that Dr Lisa did not favor it I am glad Mannie did OK I am going to read up on this just so I am familiar with the drug and learn more about it. so agreed Lisa on the drug. I know I won't use it again. There are some posts on the board here that discuss the side effects. There is a link I think in my Monday postings, maybe?

Hi Ann - nice these two are on the same page for once. Mannie and Moonie just ran out the door - headed on over to Stu's, mumbling something about picking Tess up. They had a little of Moonie's stew left - carted that with them. Better watch your doorstep for two kitties toting a batch of stew. :lol:

203 @ +5 - yellow surf so far today. Looks like DT Seattle shouldn't be a problem...

147 @ +7 - YAY, blue! Now stay there Mannie... great place to surf before you go looking for those greens. I fed him small tsp of 3% - should be good to go until I get back at +11

Glad to hear Mannie is healing well. Podo has gotten the 2 week anti-biotic shot before as well and had no bad reaction to it. Although now that I have read about it, I wouldn't do it again.

Hi Brian - Same opinion for me. I really didn't like what I had read. Scary stuff.

135 @ pmps - though I know this is food influenced. I came home @ +11 to find him with his nose buried in his auto feeder chowing down what he should have eaten @ +9. ohmygod_smile that was a first - he just rarely ever misses that +9: hears the sound, and off he goes. Apparently not today. :shock: Soooooooo - pmps is slightly food influenced. I will be getting a plus one to get a feel for where we are at. The whole trend today has been a descend so - better pay attention, huh.

Michelle, Please dont stress over the covenia-After Moonie got her 1st dental, she was given metacam, & I gave it to her at home the next day--
When I posted it, everyone flipped & told me how bad it was for kitties--But it stopped her pain, nothing happened, & she was fine, although many kitties were harmed by it--
Mannie is on the mend & is still well, so dont worry, he will be fine--Next time you will know--Moonie did not get it for her second dental though!

Listen, Moonie's PMPS was 100, so we may be having ~O) ~O) ~O) Later tonite :o ;-)
I'm typing with pinkie & other ring finger as I got shots n my hands for trigger finger today-OUCH!!

Hi Roni - and thanks. I think I'm done stressing, just upset with myself for not being better informed. Though I really, at the time, don't know how I could have been. It's a done deal anyways - he is on the mend, and feels good. So we move forward, and just won't do it again. And I hear you on the metacam. Long story here... but for my kitty it stopped the pain too. It was the prolonged use for arthritis that did him in. anyways - on to happier stuff. :-D

we may well be ~O) ~O) ~O) partners tonight. still can't believe that the little bugger blew his snack time. :lol: :lol: oh well.... i have lots of ~O) and test strips, and HC should he decide he wants to boogie tonight...

ow on your fingers! and you can still type with no errors - I'd have strikeouts and spell errors all over the place if I did that. hope all is well there, and short lived with the shot and finger thing. owwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Yo Mannie, You've got to surf now, man! No diving! Same goes for Tess. You guys were all so great to come over here today and cook up Moonie's stew for my lunch. I am so lucky to have pals like you! I feel so much better now that I'm out of the vet's and home. And I got to watch the ballgame and our team won!! Mamabean sat on the couch. I sat on my blanket on the floor next to my Papabean, who was listening to Wagner's Götterdämmerung (an historic performance) on his headset (he doesn't care much for baseball). See ya tomorrow, and maybe we can all surf together. I'm really glad your paw is getting better.

Hey Stu - I'm trying man, this surf stuff is hard sometimes - but I really like it. I keep getting this beef and liver stuff with the bestest ever gravy. soooooo good! not as good as moonie's stew, but good. i am glad too that my paw is better - it still hurts sometimes, but my bean looks at it alot and she says it is healing. my foot looks a little funny though. By bean keeps reminding me that chicks love scars, so not to worry. is that true? tess said that too. i've heard of wagner - is it good? i've never heard him though - but my uncle has. my uncle plays guitar, not very classical, but he is good. i like to hear him play. nice your ball team won - we have the mariners and they are kinda bad. my papabean says they stink... can't be good huh. see you tomorrow for sure! ~~ Mannie

Hey Tess! This is fun!! I dunno on the puffy part - too much puff and ka-boom, shrimpies everywhere.... I suppose Moonie knows what she is doing, right? I know on the pokie thingies - I tried to hide the box, but she just got out a new one... shessssh! See you - on the waves! This is just a blast.
