Madrona and Leda (GA)

Member Since 2016
No condo for a while. Leda BG has been great, but he's had an upset stomach off and on for the past couple of weeks, horking up a meal or two, though not in the last couple of days. He's escaped a trip to the vet so far by otherwise being in great shape (good appetite, using his box, drinking as usual, purring and grooming). I'm hoping that he's over it now, but am feeding him small meals, trying to add some probiotics in, and keeping an eye on him. I'm still trying to find a good substitute for the Wellness, but found that homemade raw still makes Leda's BG more volatile.

He apparently was feeling cocky enough last week to tell off the neighbor kitties (both much, much younger than him).

Vines and good health to all, safe surfing for the kitties :D:cat:.

Ordered some Soulistic chicken (which is probably pretty similar to the Weruva he's already eating) and some Whole Earth Farms duck to try out on him.

Hey Madrona! Good to hear from you and hope that Leda stays good for you. Funny how the raw makes his BG more volatile, I would think it would be the opposite.

Feisty Leda outside letting the neighbor kits know who is boss! Does he stay close by when he's outside?

I really don't know why he responds that way to raw, though it seems to be that it is so low in carbs and makes it harder to "feed the curve".

Leda normally stays right outside the house, under the window in the lilac bushes, but the neighbors' yard is only several feet from our porch, so even if he goes to tell their cat (and the visiting cat from the other neighbor) off, he's still pretty close; when he was younger he would wander a bit, but has become increasingly more of a homebody.
