The last 2 cycles haven't been good. We need to get a curve this weekend (probably tomorrow) for his vet. Unless we missed some lows (which I'm not convinced we didn't), this dose isn't working for him. Hopefully, this weekend will give us some answers. I hate not knowing what his numbers are throughout the day. And it probably doesn't help that since Wed he has eaten both his and his sister's AM +3 and +6 snacks. At least they eat tikicat at those times and it is 0 carbs.

Looks like a failed reduction to me. It did what you wanted, which was to keep him safe while you were at work. One option is to take him back up for the weekend. Or do the crazy in between dosing of 6.25, just to see if you can get a glimpse of green.
I will probably go back up to 6.5 since we can monitor a little better next week. Although, I'm getting a little unsure about "chasing the greens." I'm kinda feeling hopeless since the acro diagnosis. Knowing that the healing greens aren't going to really heal him, I'm unsure if it it worth it to keep pushing him into those lower numbers. Would it be safer to just try to keep him between 100-200?

I know it's really hard when you want to be able to test mid-cycle to see what he's doing and can't. I agree a curve this weekend will help guide your next steps. You do raise a good question about chasing the greens when also adding acro to the mix. That's a tough one at the moment, since you don't have him on cabergoline yet. Hoping for some better numbers for Gizmo soon :bighug:

The problem with blue as a nadir, is that the high ends go higher too. Your job is to find the magic nadir number where Gizmo spends most of his time under renal threshold. For Neko that was 70's as a nadir on the human meter. Acromegaly is hard enough on kidneys.
