? 9/14 Tiger Update

Been about a month since I've posted. I haven't been able to be his full time caregiver due to having to travel but he has been getting good care, not as many clear curves as I'd like. I have to head out of town on Wednesday for almost 2 weeks so I wanted to try and get a full curve in today and see if anyone has any comments or advice. I've been a bit disheartened that he has been going up with the lantus. He's also been pretty lethargic so I'm feeling like he isn't feeling the best and I was at the very least hoping for a better quality of life. Today marks 3 months on the carbergoline. He's *just* on the cusp of staying on his current 3.75 does. Any thoughts on trying to go to 4 units and I will be around to test until Wednesday evening and see if it helps him get some overall lower numbers?

Considering that at one point he was up to 8 units, 3.75 is pretty good.

If you can get two tests per cycle from now to Wednesday night, might be worth trying that 4.0 units. The other bonus is that 4.0 units is easier for a petsitter/alternate caregiver to draw than getting consistent with 3.75 units. If the 4.0 takes him lower than you want while gone, hopefully you'll know soon.
