Hi Everyone,

We are in the midst of getting stuff ready for NYC. It is really cold here and we are expecting a frost tonight, even! We broke down this morning and turned on the heat to bring the temperature in the house up to 62. Rusty is in his little bed by the radiator.

The hummingbirds are still here (RubyThroated Hummingbirds, the only Eastern species of Hummingbird).

Brrr on that cold! I suspect Rusty know somethings up with the packing, but he's looking great in the lagoon.

Have you pulled out the long underwear? :lol: UP to 62, you're tough. I think Rusty is wanting a more tropical climate.

Yo Kitties,
I'm resting up for the trip to the city. I hope you all can join me there for a day, several days, or the whole week. I'll be planning activities and would like some suggestions about what you want to see and do. Of course we'll do the old standbys: the hotdog carts in Central Park, the visit to Patience and Fortitude at the Library, the visit to the Met Museum to see our ancestors, the ride on the Staten Island Ferry, the visit to Coney Island and Nathan's Famous Hotdogs, Eel fishing in the East River, etc. And on Sunday we'll join a contingent of kitties for the Kitties' Climate March. Bring your signs and banners. We want to preserve our Earth for our future generations.

Hi again,
Rusty ate most of his breakfast. For lunch he got Dave's Chicken and Chicken Liver. This is clearly his new favorite: he polished off what was in his dish in 1 sitting!!!

Out to do errands now. The sun actually made an appearance about 15 minutes ago!!!!!

I had a hummingbird buzz me, yesterday. First one I've seen all year. I was wondering if they are headed south.

Rusty! DUDE! We will be there! Lola and bug want to visit a few pizza places. They say they hear NY style is mega good, and well, maybe hey wants to add a line to the paw Prints pizza business. What a beautiful cycle for Rusty! :mrgreen: Yum- NY Pizza- Enjoy NYC- How about an appearance on the Today Show at Rock Center!! Those little Ruby-throated Hummers need to get going down South-getting too cold!
 
Nice cycles today, Rusty! I see you checked on everyone at the lagoon and managed to get plenty of rest for your big trip, too.

Sending safe travel and good weather vines! It's hard for me to imagine turning on the heater - we're still running the A/C with temps in the upper 90s!
