Numbers are running a bit high, but he dipped into blue yesterday so we're staying conservative and working on his diet before adjusting up from 1.5u. When he wasn't eating, we put everything in front of him regardless of carbs and nutrition. Yesterday his appetite was so good, we fed medium carb food, but too much of it. I realized at the end of the day that I had let him eat 5 entire 3oz cans through the day. Overeating is part of what gets him in trouble. (I know the feeling.)

So today we begin moderation. We'll figure out a healthier eating schedule/quantity and stick there for a bit before maybe nudging his insulin dose up.

His vet says he is on life #33.

To keep things interesting, Grandpa has decided that he wants to broaden his horizons. In the year + that he's been here, he has had no interest in the great outdoors. Yesterday I opened my kitchen door and he walked right through and went down the steps to the basement. My basement isn't finished and I found him just wandering around the stuff stored there. This morning he made a beeline for the door again. Nothing like a senior citizen keeping me on my toes.

What a character! It's obvious he's still interested and engaged when his tummy is working properly. :bighug::D:kiss:

Beck , it is so hard when they’ve been off their food to not overindulge when appy returns . Praying his tummy stays settled and appy stays strong ❤️ Love to hear of his adventurous spirit ... that screams “ I’m feeling GREAT !!!” :bighug:

Help me!
He actually grabbed a piece and growled at me when I took it back.

Omg , he is just like my Frosty :( these poor strays, they have been through so much!
I really hope for nothing more but for frosty to try to steal my food again. It was so annoying and we had to eat standing in the kitchen, but i just want him to feel that well again <3 grandpa is adorable. He looks so good. I agree with the 33rd life thing :bighug:

Dear Frosty, I think you and I need to team up and plan a way to get all the good food this weekend. I need a partner in crime. C'mon Frosty. We can have fun driving our mamas nuts. Food thief cats gotta stick together! Love, Grandpa

Wow! Go Grandpa. I have to put Scooter in his room when I eat most of the time or he’s crawling all over me trying to get mine. We usually wind up eating at one of his snack times, so he’s not too upset.
