Not as high as I was expecting.....and hoping for a nice slow drop at +2 and +3 so I can go today......


Apparently he thought I should just test my sugar, as he just clawed the *&$W%)($ out of my arm while getting up....sorry Skooter, not enough blood for me to test, but don't worry enough to make it hurt.....put some bacitracin on it.....we shall see how it does.....it looks a bit deep.....bandaids for sure!

Not a bad start at all! Yikes on the scratches....I swear I always accidentally get "got" by someone or other's claws around here. I always go for the neosporin and bandaid right away. I hope yours heals up quickly. Have a great day, Molly!

I am thinking I gave more of a .1 vs .25 this morning.....for the most part based on his number at +2 (144), but I couldn't 100% tell this morning where my plunger line was.....

They really need to have a light up feature or something on these needles for the early morning dosing when your eyes are still adjusting and such.....

But I guess this means I have a permission slip to go out....I will be setting the time for his normal times......915 (+3) and his newer time of 1215 (+6)....hoping to be back by +9

You're right about those syringe lines in the morning. Gaaaaaa, I'm struggling in the hotels 'cuz they seem to use vanity-lighting (low light to mask our imperfections and make us love the hotel) everywhere. Plus I broke my +3 reading glasses the first night out. Squint city.

I bought these at CVS. They're a godsend. Maybe you'd find these helpful as well. They're available in various strengths.

Maybe Skooter wanted to leave a mark on your arm, so you won't forget about him even if you are having an unbelievably fun time at the festival, like how people write a reminder on their arm (is it only me?).

I remember those days all too well. I ended up buying a light-up magnification lamp from Office Depot. It helped a lot, but I still struggled with the micro-dosing. I personally think they just need to make insulin syringes that measure by the tenths. :YMSIGH:

Well, isn't this interesting....perhaps a new trend for Skooter to watch for? The he doesn't drop until +3, vs the normal +2 that he has been?

I wasn't able to get beyond a +2 this morning, and assumed all was well because if he is gonna do a significant drop, it is usually noticeable by +2.....I was curious when I got home and he was a 11 @ +10.5.....and figured it was gonna be another uneventful night after the +2, but now with this +3, I have to wonder, how low did he really go while I was gone!?!?!?

Perhaps now, I need to be waiting until his +3 to see what is going on.....tomorrow AM and PM I will definitely be getting a +2 and +3, just to see.

We got home way later than we thought because as we got out of the car, my BIL realized one of his tires was going flat, my sister, ever the worrywart decided we must leave and get it fixed.....so after all that, we made it back to the Fair....it was nice walking around, but DANG food lines were horrible! And it was soooooooooo packed....we are so used to getting there right when they open when it isn't that bad.....next year we will be checking tires the night before and make sure all is well before we leave :)

I was a good girl and didn't buy anything to bring home (trying to declutter what I have).....but it sure was nice to walk around and look at everything :)

well, I gave Skooter a little LC at his +3 when I saw his green, so my plan is to get a +4 as he dropped by 56 this last hour...... Guessing it might be a PJ party night for me, but we shall see.....

ETA: He did pretty much eat everything left in his feeder....I think the small ice cube trick in the compartment thing is working :)

And the headache is coming back and once again, just not feeling like me.....

Good thing we are at almost the halfway mark....Skooter normally nadirs early and seems to have a great surf going on, so I think I will go to bed.....perhaps I will set the alarm for like a +8 or +9.....we shall see if I can wake up.....

Skooter got me pretty good today....inside upper right arm and right handed....it is about 5 to 6 inches long....and about half of that is worse than the rest....clothes hurt it, so thinking I will have to run and get something to cover it with, just so it doesn't rub, hurt and agitate the claw mark.....

Looks like Skooter and Cinco are together again! China is in the lagoon too, along with several other kitties. It's crowded tonight. I guess Saturday night is alright for surfing! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I'm sorry about the headache - probably the sun and the noise of the Faire. Sounds like a fun day, minus the tire issue. I'd love to go to one of those. They used to have one at the racetrack in Sonoma, about 40 miles from us, but I haven't heard anything about it lately.

Sending healing vines for your head and arm (ouch! :o Skooterpie! What were you thinking?!). I'll tell Cinco to keep hold of Skooter and not let him get in too deep.
