9/13 Mačka is very sick - update: ate a little + pic

I really hope this is just a little stomach bug for poor Macka! Feel better soon!
Me too. The vet tends to think it could be a IBD flare. Honestly, to begin with, he never had any IBD symptoms ever. But yes, I stopped the Budosenide on the day he got sick. I was reading that they stay in the system for some days after, so I don't understand how it could have been that dramatic just one day after the last dose? It's a possibility, I just hope the steroids did not mess with his intestines.

You didn’t taper the budesonide down? It shouldn’t be stopped cold turkey.

More healing vines coming his way. I’m glad he’s feeling better and has eaten a bit.

Any chance he eats any of those things in the garden? There is a list of common plants poisonous to cats at my vet and it is upsettingly long.
The only one I ever saw him eat is a japanese grass and it's ok for cats. I suppose it could happen, but I don't think it's the problem, although I'd really like to know which plants are potentially dangerous! Is there anyway you can take a photo of the list?

How is Macka doing today?
Thank you for asking! He ate substantially last evening, after taking Mirtz. But before that he vomited bile and hairballs and I had to force a cerenia into him. Overall I feel like cerenia works better than ondansetron on him...

He also did quite a curve at night, so I did not sleep much. But that's great. I panicked thought, because it happened on the day he did not eat much, and for a while last evening he was refusing all food (I tried to feed the curve). But then he started eating when he went in better numbers.

Today he had some appetite as well, which reassures me, but is still very tired. Also, the diarrhea is ongoing.

I've started giving him metronidazole (Flagyl-5 days) and back on budesonide for a while, since we're not sure of what caused his crisis in the first place.
My regular vet (not the internist) said we will wean him off more slowly this time.
I feel a lot of guilt giving him so many medications and again antibiotics (3rd time in 3 months). I just don't know what else to do to stop the nausea and the diarrhea. Or course, I consulted with my vet prior to giving him all that.

Right now, he just asked to go out for his promenade, since it stopped raining. He's going slowly but surely :)
