Not liking this dose. cat(2)_steam It is not producing numbers that are lower than before. Still have 2 cycles left before I consider a change. Hoping I see some change today.

It is a little cooler so Harley is a bit more active that yesterday.

Come on Harley, lets ease on down a bit. Make your mommy happy, k?

Re: 9/13 Harley AMPS 338

Good morning Pattie! Hopefully Harley does something with the dose today. Did you hear that Harley? Momma is not liking these numbers.

Have a wonderful day!

Re: 9/13 Harley AMPS 338

I'm hoping it's NDW. . . come back down Harley (but not too fast)

I haven't forgotten about the chart instructions - working on several deadlines at tbp (worked until 10p last night) and the nightwatchman is away so I'm holding down the fort and taking care of all our kitties.

Saw your comment abouot having Harley re-tested for IAA. I did that with BK once. I'm going to have to look up the dates. It was when I noticed the break - all of a sudden I didn't need R anymore (annd I was banging some R at the time, like a total of 12u p/day)- BK had turned the corner. He was at the vet for a follow up to his lump removal and I asked for another IAA test. The vet told me it was a waste of money, that it would not be different. I begged her to indulge me and she did. It came back exactly the same. 84%.

I should have asked her, if it's like a person who has been exposed to TB - once exposed they always test positive. In the interest of knowledge of IAA, BK should be tested again. I'll give his vet a call and see what she thinks. I don't know if there's anyone here in LL that has an immunology background. . .

Re: 9/13 Harley AMPS 338

Interesting comments Sandy. I wonder also if Harley would come back as a positive. Although on Sunday you commented

“Harleys IAA has run it's course, otherwise he would not be on 2.5u. Whether or not IAA can return, I don't know. However keep in mind IAA is caused by the cats immune system creating antibodies to the insulin. It's not caused by high BGs.”

I somehow (in my gut) don’t think that his IAA is over with. Maybe it is not the same analogy but I am allergic to cats (my first 2 had me taking pills for it). Although I do not take pills anymore, upon occasion, I have the same symptoms. With Harley, he is down in his dose but I think the antibodies can still take over causing a higher dose. Don’t know why or how but I think I would have a different feeling if the IAA had truly run it’s course.

It would be interesting to see what BK would test now that he is OTJ. Have a good day.

(oh for cryin' out loud! Harley, Harley. . .)
I guess it was NDW. . .so much for not coming down too fast!

Ok, well Harley proved to be interesting today. I am shaving off the fat part of 2.5 but not giving a 0.25u reduction. Let's see what he does with this.

He is keeping you busy! A nice run though, and you kept him above 60 - good job.

He may bounce hard, pretty fast drop this morning and a long stretch of greens and blues...

Good move on the shave.
