Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Ahhhhhh.... elixir! Thanks Elsa), and Happy Catmint Caturday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Paw Prints Pizza is open and ready for business! They are running a Caturday Catnip special today, in honor of Catmint Caturday> well duh! They do EVERY Caturday.  AND! Still with lots of nip in those pies! They have even used their signature nip cheese. Best order early! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings... It is my bean's fav! SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of peppermint and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with peppermint chips and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, and a great week. The days with the boys have been good ones! We have been very busy, that part of life has not changed. Will it ever? ;-) What a BUSY week! Truth be told, I prefer it that way. :-D   We have been swimming, and hiking, and to beaches, and urban parks. We have had lunches on the river, car camping some too, and on grassy lawns picnic style. These days are wonderful ones. I love it when Nicholas says: I have had the best day grammie. Me too little man! Life is good! :-D :-D :-D

Fall is upon the boys, with their scheduling and activities. Swimming will move to Mondays and Wednesdays for Nicholas. William will be starting on a regular schedule too. Right now he will be swimming on Mondays (this may move to Tuesdays), and Thursdays. Nicholas will be in Pre-School Tuesday and Thursdays, in the morning. When he is in school William will be at eh pool. The timing of this worked out well on Thursday, my first official day of trying that out. it was great to see that Nicholas did not mind that little bro was in the pool without him. YAY! Mondays will be at this point a joint swim day, with Nicholas and William both there in the morning. Bob, one of the other grandparents will he there to take on William, while I have Nicholas. We will see hoe this arrangement goes. I have a feeling I will end up being there on my own, as Bob really isn't into swimming, and to do this jointly may cause alot of confusion for both boys, from an attitude perspective alone. Time will tell. Friday will be our new free and travel day, with no obligations for the boys, except to have fun, whether we are at a river, the aquarium, wherever. Yahoo on that! My hike day at this point moves to Tuesdays which means all my social stuff moves to Monday afternoons. shesshhh! I need a calendar!  anyways... onwards! and bring on the adjustments that Fall season alwyas brings.

Thursday and Friday, were our swimming days this week. William went Thursday, Nicholas friday nght. Some of the pools were still on summer scheduling, the rest are closed for fall maintenance. We got through all of that Wednesday night. Going forward this coming week, all are open and ready for swimmers! AND!!! The big pool is reopened! Nicholas will be more than elated. Nicholas still loves going, and continues to do well in the pool. He's been making lots of new friends when he goes. it's fun to see him concoct up with kids when he gets there. Nicholas and I will continue to swim on Friday night, as he so loves that experience, at a pool that is not his normal pool. They have been very fun times for him. We are still trying to "convince" Nicholas that swim lessons would be great, but he is adamant that he does not want to do them. silly boy! All in good time. In the meantime I teach him what I can, and marvel at how well he does on his own. Nicholas has been trying very hard to swim what one considers a normal swim: big arms, kicks. last night he made several laps in the lazy river, trying to do just that. Not too badly either! Pool time with William was great. He has taken to this just like his brother did.He loves all he did. I'm not too sure if that came through on the pics, but no matter. We did all we could just to let him try everything. We even had a few dunks under water, those he didn't mind, no fuss, no tears, no fear. I put him trough the same "drills" I did with Nicholas, we stayed about an hour, until he was tired. Success I think. This should be fun. GO NICK! GO WILLIAM!

Nicholas still looks forward to our after swim Friday Night Burger Feast too. (sorry, no photos! picassa will not process the upload, working ion it.... )That is just so fun: burgers and fries, just him and me, with lots of fun stories. He was so happy to see that burger and fries combo show up. Somehow I think that is part of the magic of Friday night swims: that he gets burgers etc after his swim. Yesterday we again talked pool closures, as well as all our berry hunts, swimming in the rivers, and this weeks visit to Gold creek with his dad. He was really into that discussion, as we had spent the day swimming in it, with a few geese. He also talked alot about summer swim schedules, and the changes coming this fall. He still talks about his camping trip with his family, and wants to go back. What fun time, talking through mouthfuls full of burgers and fries.

Nick's Pics continue!. He still loves the camera, takes them from time to time. this week he wanted to take a few of the streets of Monroe, during our river trip day. Not too bad! I love his perspective on things, how he changes angles to get a different picture. creative! ;-)

Nicholas likes school. He is in basic pre-school program, and goes twice week. He was very excited that I get to take him to school one of the mornings. Thursday went well, I so had to laugh at his comment when I picked him up: ""ok, that's over, can we go to the beach now?"

No hiking this past week for me,. MAJOR BUMMER! monday I had typo wait for a guy to come and measure for a new slider door for the deck, The current one is old, sticks, doesn't slide well, and is falling apart. I so hate waiting for people.... SO now I wait to see what eh can do for me, and how much of a dent it will make in my pocket book! ;-) It is step one in the development of a catio for the kitties.

Tuesday ended up being my social day. And since I couldn't take a hiking day spent some time on a few urban I met with my son Anthony for breffis. We still go every other week,to a nice Pancake type place that serves lots of very good food. It is nice to be able to do that: get together and catch up on what is new. The restaurant is a great place: any kind o breakfast food you can imagine, and it is all good. and lots of it! I always end up going home with a doggie bag.  On the way home I stopped in at a mall urban lake, Scriber Lake, and walked the loop trail there. it is very short, but not too bad for a morning walk. the ducks were out, it didn't rain, yet, and I enjoyed the time. Later that day I met with my friend in Seattle for coffee. It was a sunny warm day there then so we took or brews outside to one of the courtyards across the street. That was nice, very pleasant way to spend an hour, talking and catching up. I spent about an hour walking the FreeWay Park Loop, as the sun finally came out, I had a free hour, so figured why not? The park as as pretty as it always is. The fountains were all working, flowers were a-blooming, and the skies were finally all blue. Awesome day!

Wednesday ended up being a travel day. The pools were still clsoed for maintenance, the boys dad had the day off, so Nicholas decided he wanted to take his dad to one of his fav places: Gold Creek Pond, up at Snoqualmie Pass. We did well! I was a little concerned when we headed out to the pass and had nothing but fog, a light drizzle and very overcast skies. Sure was nice to see the sun break when we made the pond, Awesome skies after that, maybe 60 there. It was not overly warm, but not cold either. Nicholas was so excited to have his dad there, kept asking.him "dad do you like it here? Isn't it beautiful?" Jason did enjoy the place, thought it was a perfect spot for a family outing, or just for people with little kids etc. Right he is. We walked the loop, stopped here and there, found the biggest ant hill I have ever seen in my life. Easily 4 feet across, three feet high, and teaming with ants doing their thing. Really something incredible. Boys played in the water, Nicholas went in in his suit. It was really cold, but he still ventured in, lasted maybe 45 minutes. William was content to play in the mud at the edge of the pond. Very fun times for both boys. and for dad!

Thursday, after William's swimming, and Nicholas's school, we went to Juanita Beach. The weather was great, the afternoon was turning into a warm afternoon, like 80 (!!), so off we went! We did all of what he goes there for. Lots of play, and it was warm enough that he could swim in the water. He had such fun with that. I had also brought a pair of swim trunks for William, so he was able to really get in the water, and play as much as he wanted. He continues to love the very small waves, and had a blast. They both built beach lakes and rivers. Nicholas would start one, William would come in and mess it all up. Earlier another group of kids had dug this large hole in the sand, maybe 4 feet across and about a foot deep, which they had filled with water. OMG: that was a magnet for William. His own private little muddy sandy swimming hole. SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH!   WHAT FUN! WHAT A MESS he was after that.   They both were! William has really developed a fondness for it all, he just gets so excited when he sees the parks, the beaches, the rivers, He is so very much like his brother when he was that age. He just loved it. Nicholas did a very good job too making sure little bro was doing OK. We also had a small picnic after our beach and park time. All around - really a terrific day. I bet both those boys slept well that night. AWESOME time at the beach.

Friday was our travel day: "Road Trip!". We went to gold bar, and the Skykomish River there, spent the whole day on the river. The day was full of nice weather, warm, cold water, but nobody cared on that part. We were the only ones there too. river was gorgeous, running low, which made for easier than normal access. We were able to fond some one inch long fish too, in one of the small pools right next to the river. Nicholas loves that, was all excited when he saw them, standing there with these tiny fish swimming at his feet. William had such fun. He found this section of warm sand and just rolled and played and threw sand all over. What a hoot! bit boys spent alot of time at rivers edge, just playing in the water. Fall is in the air there, lots of fallen leaves, some color to the trees. The boys had a very good time. On the way home we stopped in at the Starbucks in Monroe, and had Fraps. That was fun, and major yum! Apparently William knows what they are, and would not leave us alone until he got some. Such fuss!   sheshhhh.... so I positioned the cup so he was slurping the ship part, and not the frap part, and he was happy. ;-) It was a great day, just a very long one for me. With the PM swim for Nicholas I did not see my front door until well after 9PM. I-)

I am sitting here this morning, just like last week, trying to think what to write about the kitties.... and just like last week, thinking alot too about Mannie. Bug so reminds me of him, the mannerisms that are the same are so evident! Mannie chose well! The rest I wrote last week, but all of it continues to be true. More so on the things about Bug and Nicholas. "The kitties are doing well here, all three of them. The last three days that Nicholas has napped here, I have found Bug sleeping, or watching, just outside of Nichoals's door, on the threshold. To me, that was huge. Could it be that Bug may take over where Mannie left off? I always swore that Mannie and Nicholas were bonded, inseparable, perhaps his feline GA is making sure all will be well. I always felt that Mannie sent Bug to us. They are just so much alike. Lola continues to be Lola, wild crazy fun Lola. Still the ultimate escape artist. She loves the outdoors, it has been hard to keep her inside. Our escape artist continues to try and get out. After having a few hours out there she has decided that it was PRIMO (!!!!!) and tries every chance she gets to sneak on through that opening, when anyone goes in or out. She even paws at the door, with what I swear is an "open PLEASE" chant.  She is relentless. ah Lola....never ever a dull moment with you. :-D  Our resident escape artist has perfected her skills. Six times last week! Outside at all costs, in her opinion.        :-x         My son says I should jut let her out, He really feels she knows home, and will not wander, even if she plays to the max, is wild and crazy, she still knows home. I dunno... maybe he's right. Maybe supervised venture out? Maybe? nailbite_smile Elsa is still dong well, darn active for an almost 18 year old. She sleeps alot, but what the heck: part of being a cat. She continues to be a very good lap cat of late: nice! With the warm weather she has been out in the yard alot. Lola is SO JEALOUS!!, and lets me know it whenever she sees Big Sis out in the yard. It is interesting that Bug just doesn't seem to mind that all. He is more than content to be a house cat. Kitties are good, and All are sound asleep as I write this.... Stay good kitties!" Normalcy in MusketeerVille! cat_pet_icon

Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your Caturday. The laundry almost done, shopping done, the rest of the day is free!   I hope that later today I will be able to walk the trail here, to the shore. the skies are sunny, the tempos are warm, and it is too nice not to! Paws crossed!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Re: 9/12 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

Have a great evening LL! It has been a fairly predictable day here, a normal Caturday with shopping and laundry, and a walk through the woods to the shore here at Meadowdale. We made 78 here, under blue skies, with no rains, and warm sun. Yahoo! What an excellent day. Rather laid back too.

HAPPY CATURDAY EVENING!!!

Re: 9/12 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

You've had a busy week again, but it sounds like fun. I'm glad things are working out for both of the boys to go swimming. That's good the Nicholas likes pre-school.

I think Lola will always try to get out now that she's had a taste of freedom. I'm glad the kitties are doing well.

Re: 9/13-14 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY SUNDAY LL!!

Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy Sunday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Coffee is on, Lola and Bug , founders of Paw Prints Pizza, are ready to go! Want pizza? it is MEGA GOOD! They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espressos, with beans from Starbucks Pike Place Market, their original blend, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of mint and vanilla and cimmamum swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with peppermint chips and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. It has been rather laid back here. The basic weekend chores and shopping and errands and laundry are all caught up. YaHOO! I've been out and about too, with a walk yesterday through the woods to the shore, and this morning, with an early morning beach walk at Picnic Point. The weather here has been really great, with lots of sun and blue skies and temps in the mid 70's. One simply cannot complain about this summers weather, it has been phenomenal, little rains to speak off. I am sure that will change here shortly, as it does every fall when things really start to get wet.  In the meantime, out we go, and are very grateful for the sunshine. :-D :-D :-D I spent some time setting up a new car seat for William, He will be ready to graduate to an upright one soon, and struggled to remember where the settings should be,. Thinking it would be similar to Nicholas at that age, and knowing all the photos I have oh him in that seat I went pic hunting. I did find it, but also found one that is ever so dear to my heart. so.... am sharing it here today cuz. Remember when? <3 for sure!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille! Kitties are well, enjoying the sun. Elsa is camped out outside under her favorite bush. Bug is sunning and sleeping in a sun ray on the steps in the front entryway (so so Mannie!), and Lola is running amuck, looking for a break in the security system aka the screens.   Silly cat. She and Bug has a run-a-thon a little bit ago, complete with flying tufts of fur.   GO KITTIES! Sounds like a sure-fire case of Normalcy to me.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I hope to be back outside, for some minor yard work, and maybe a short woods walk when that is complete. SWEET!

HI Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) That it was. I guess they are all busy.  but it is a fun busy. Me too on the pool! I love swimming, and it is nice to see the boys are taking to it as well. So far, they both love it. I agree on school. he's having fun so far. I SO AGREE on Lola. She now knows what it is like out there, really enjoys it. I may just have to give her few trial runs, and see if she can behave. Wish I knew how she'd react. LOL: I just don't want to be chasing her all over the neighborhood!

Re: 9/13-14 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY SUNDAY LL!!

I love the picture. That is so sweet. Enjoy your laid back day. It's nice to have one once in a while.

Re: 9/13-14 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY SUNDAY LL!!

I too love that picture of Mannie and Nicholas. :YMHUG: Maybe Bug will get to that point and you can pics of him with one of the boys.

Your time in the pool with William looked like so much fun. Sort of like times with Nicholas a couple of years ago - maybe a little blonder? Good to see you did get out and see some scenery even with the boys. Starbucks already?  I hope you get some hiking in this next week - this weather is just AWESOME!!!

Have you ever tried taking Lola out on leash? She does seem pretty determined.

Re: 9/13-14 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY SUNDAY LL!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture of Nicholas and Mannie. We all miss Mannie so here in LL, and Nicholas is a BIG boy now.

We want to hear/see/whatever more about the catio plans!

Anne

Re: 9/13-14 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY SUNDAY LL!!

Hi everyone! ~O) ~O) ~O)
Elsa says it is never too late for ~O)

Hi Carla ~O) :-D Me too! It has always been a fav of mine. I had it framed for Nicholas, and is on the wall in the room he sleeps in when he is here. THX on today, and I so agree. laid back rules here today. and abundant sunshine.

Hi Wendy ~O) :-D THX! I hope so on Bug. it is a slow process with him, he is gradually accepting the "outsiders" and does watch over Nicholas, but only from a distance. 5 feet is as clsoe as he has come. I hope in time that will change. :-D The time with William in the pool was - so fun! and very reminiscent of when Nicholas started. I found myself saying so any times: cool! Nicholas used to do that, or react to whatever that way. wow, what a trip down memory lane. I too think that William is a tad bit blonder that Nicholas was. And yes on the getting out. hopefully the hikes will be back this week,. lost my day this week to the door guy. But we made up for it with time out with the boys. I have thought of doing that with Lola. I wonder if she'd figure out how to ditch it. nothing with her would surprise me....

Hi Anne ~O) :-D me too! What a surprise to see it today, In a way I believe Mannie paid me a visit, through his photo. it just appeared out of nowhere, I wasn't even looking in his file for photos. The first thing I did was say "Hi Mannie!" :-D I so know on Nicholas... quite the boy now. No more toddler. Will do on the catio plans once I get them rolling,. I really want a couple of enclosed areas, a distance apart with runs in between. Lola is runner, always has been. it would be nice if she could do that outside too. however,.. plans like that spell $$$ to me. We shall see what I can come up with.

Re: 9/13-14 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY SUNDAY LL!!

Hi Michelle,
Lots of changes in your life and the boys' lives. What fun to have new schedules to pursue! I hope all will continue to work out well. It's great that Nicholas likes his pre school and that he has lots of new friends at the pools, too. William looks very much at home in the pool.
Oh, that pic of Nicholas asleep while Mannie watches over him is priceless. It's wonderful that Bug is so attuned. Mannie is surely on the job!

Have a great new, busy week. I hope you can get in a nice hike. You are certainly having wonderful weather.

Rusty is looking forward to a week of fun in the city with his pals.

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Elsa, Bug and Lola, we'll certainly go to some of the NY pizza places. And the march will be great. See ya soon,
Rusty

Re: 9/13-14 LOOSE LIPS: and fall begins... HAPPY SUNDAY LL!!

Wow Michelle, even with no hiking, you're way too busy!!  Love that sweet picture of Mannie and Nicholas! RE:the ant hill, I've seen them, I sure wish I had pictures, it's incredible! I almost sat in one one time as a child! Ack! So now I'm really careful! I can see why your son says to let Lola out, but I have mixed feelings about it. We let Tiger outside only if she is supervised during the day, our backyard is fenced and for perhaps an hour or so in good weather only. Every winter a big Horned Owl comes back to our neighborhood, I worry for any cat or critter because we find the pellets. Not to mention, the neighborhood now has at least one or two coyotes! Thanks for your post today, made me smile!

Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Cheery Cherry Monday
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, are making their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! Anybody up for a cherry pizza? so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! We gots CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE too! as well as cheery cherry frappes! I love cheery cherry Mondays.
You ever googled cheery cherry monday?   One of the results is this forum. Elsa - you are famous!!

Happy Monday everyone. here we go... off on another week. Enjoy yours! Today starts the new swim schedule for Nicholas and William. This should prove to be more than interesting, for all of us. We switched to a M and W swim day thing for Nicholas, in the hopes of matching this with the swim lessons that his pool offers. well.... the lessons haven't happened yet, but his mom and dad elected to get the switch done now, and set for when lessons do start. Today the other grandparents will be at the pool too. it is their normal care day for the boys, so they will bring them both to the pool, and when done, take them back to their place. They have decided to participate in the pool too. I will be there to get things rolling for them, and to keep Nicholas on track with all he does and learns in the pool, today and all Mondays going forward. The other grandparents are not pool people at all, so this will be quite the learning experience for them. William will be making this one of his swim days going forward too. Plan is: William with DGP, and I will be with Nicholas. I so hope this works, and doesn't cause mass confusion for a three year old. ;-) Might be quite the morning. :-D

Normalcy in MusketerrVille! Kitties have been fed, the normal morning run crazy has been completed, and now they are all napping. The life of a cat! AND! Even Lola is napping.  I had best enjoy the quiet while it is still here.....

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) That is so true! the changes are a-plenty this fall, all of them I hope will be good ones for the boys. It is nice to see that pre-school is going over well. it is a good way for him to make some friends, and learn new social skills. William is so far loving the pool. No surprise there! THX on the pic - it is a fav, and brings back so many great memories of Mannie and Nicholas together. very cool! I think so too on Mannie's influence over Bug. Bug is such a gentle soul. THX on the week, hike day set for tomorrow. Now I need to decide where to go. ;-)
Rusty! We are on our way! You there yet???? We will wait on your doorstep. Bug and Lola are so excited about the pizza thing. YUMS! WOOT WOOT! ~~ Elsa

Morning Ruth ~O) ~O) ~O) too funny, but yes, you are right. We stayed busy, even without a hike day. THX on the pic too, they were so close. Nicholas still misses him. OH WOW on your ant hill! I can't imagine almost sitting on one. I am in the same boat on letting Lola out. Elsa goes out all the time, but she stays in the yard most of the time. Bug could care less, now Lola? she is the wild one. I wish I knew I could rely on her staying in the yard.... we have had reports here too of coyotes, as we are near a wood park, undeveloped area. I think maybe I shall give her some time out, supervised, and see how it goes. One venture will tell me what she will do.

Good luck w/ the new schedule, it does look like you will spending more days w/ the boys. What will happen to the Friday night after-swim Burger Fest?

I'm all packed for NYC! I have to bring the LWT??? Oh well, maybe she can learn to drive the bus and I can drive the Furrari! WOOT!!! Hang onto your hats kittehs! -- Tess

Very awesome that William is now "officially" swimming, too! You must be one waterlogged GrandmaBean  !!! Love Nick'sPics...always such an artistic edge to them!! Of course the picture of Mannie and Nicholas is just beautiful, and the Cheery Cherry Monday kitty is a hoot. I love love love that Elsa comes up in the search  !!!!

Lola! Inside is safer! I have to say it...outdoor kitties really, really worry me. I hear so many people say "My cat never wanders"....until their cat disappears or gets in a fight or worse. One of my neighbors swore her cat never wandered off her back patio...until she came home one day and found him wedged between the pickets of her fence. Long story short, he ended up with gangrene and several surgeries. You just never know what they'll get into out there....there are so many potential hazards and pitfalls and crazy people. I also had a neighbor who hated cats and would trap the neighborhood cats, remove their collars, and call animal control to have them pick up the "strays" he caught. You just never know....we know kitties come up with crazy ideas on their own, and combine that with all the unknowns of the vast world.....it just scares me. Sorry for the ramble....just wanted to share some thoughts.

Have a great day, Michelle, and I hope you get some hiking in this week!!

Busy days ahead with both boys now swimming. It looks like William is taking to the water just as Nicholas did. Woohoo! Good times. You have so much energy.

Our kitties are good outside. Tarragon stays super close to me everywhere. He was relaxing next to me this weekend soaking in the sun and the kids next door came out of their house screaming. T took off for the sliding glass door and cried to be let in. That made me feel much better to know he knows just where to go.

Have a great day Michelle!!

How funny on the search for cheery cherry Monday. That's great.

I hope things worked out okay with the new swim schedule today.

I'd definitely keep an eye on Lola is you let her out. I don't know if she'll stay in the yard. She might zip off on you.

Happy Monday night everyone! Yahoo!, one day down, four to go! :-D

Hi Ann ~O) :-D THX on the schedule, hope all works OK, and often think, why do things have to be so complicated! And yes, I have part of a day with the boys, in addition to what I used to have, just so we can keep the pool stuff on track. We will still do the FR night swim and burger thing, it is more or less "separate" from the schedule, and just something that Nicholas and I do, It will remain that way - just a fun evening for the two of us.
TESS! AWESOME! Let's roll! well, uh, yes on LWT. Lola heard that maybe she will learn to drive the bus. she went and bought all these boxes of cracker jacks she says there are drivers licensces in them huh? what? scary,.... what am I going to do with all this junk food? See ya, and bring the Furrari! we can cruise 5th avenue in style! ~~ Elsa

Hi Amy ~O) :-D THX! on William. I am rally enjoying watching him learn about the pool, and what he c an do there, He really enjoys it. and yes on the water logged! almost 4 times a week n the pool now, but that's OK. it really is fun. THX on Nick's PICS. I agree, and enjoy what he does. they are interesting, love his thought process, he often tells me why he did one the ay he did. creative! The search and getting Elsa cracked me up!     THX too on the "indoor kitty stuff" I agree with you, which is why she hasn't gone out. It is silly to say they stay in the yard. I have found even Elsa, will wander when the mood suits her. Sometimes down the street. We have had cats poisoned here too. Darn cray people. they scare me the most.... Thanks (!!!) for your input. and yes (!) on the hike - I hope to tomorrow. :-D

Hi Melissa ~O) :-D ah thx... energizer grammie!    but yes, William now too, and he so far really likes the time in the pool. it is so basic when they are that young, but all is going well. Most of our kitties are good outside too. Mannie I knew never wandered, Elsa has on occasion, but Lola..... who knows. I wish she was a mellower kitty, but doubt that will ever be the case. The few times he has escaped she has just taken off, all over everywhere, usually within the boundaries of our home yard, but a few times not. Too fun,a dn good, on Mr T! Nice he does know home, and safety.

Hi Carla ~O) :-D That search cracked me up. there she was, Elsa i all her glory! Making those cheery cherry mochas!   Today went OK, there are a few kinks to work out, but all in all it was OK. Changes always present challenges when dealing with young kids. I agree on Lola, I keep thinking I should give her a chance but then the thoughts you expressed always win out, and in she stays.
