Yesterday's Condo

Willie continues to not seem well, and his numbers this morning weren't a huge surprise. If he's not better tonight, we'll be headed to the vet either tomorrow or Wednesday. Trying to decide which vet to take him to. I'm just really not loving the vet we're at now. She's okay, but I dunno.... I really liked the vet we had for his bloodwork in February, and it isn't that much further from home. The only thing is, the vet we have now takes Care Credit, which would be useful right about now.

I'm tired and grouchy today. I have a big iced coffee after softball practice yesterday which left me completely wired last night, plus I was sore, so I got only a few hours of sleep. Looking forward to going to bed early tonight. Not exactly a birthday celebration, but I'll take it! :lol: :lol:

Hi guys .. it's your birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! I hope that willie starts feeling better .. I know taking our kitties to the vet is nothing we ever look forward too, especially if we don't LOVE the vet .. I hope you get some much needed rest tonight ...

My Auntie Elsie always said that what you do on your birthday you'll do all year long, so don't do anything you don't like to do!!

So sorry to hear that Willie is "off". It couldn't be the mouse, could it?

I just read your condo from yesterday about the bedbugs in your sister's apartment. Awful! You did the right thing to clean her stuff that she brought to your house. Bedbugs are a huge problem in NY City. They were in the building a friend of ours lives in, but she doesn't have them in her apartment. The super has taken extreme steps to rid the building of them. Your sister's super should do the same!

Poor Willie! I hope he is feeling better and you avoid a trip to the vet. Care Credit is the only way we got through the last couple of weeks.

Have a wonderful night. It's your birthday so do want you want, even if that is going to bed early. That would be a treat!

Oh Christie!!! Please don't let an early night's sleep be the only prsent you give yourself for your birthday. I swear by Ben & Jerry's!!! They have some new flavors that are so good they seriously will make you not care about the calories...seriously!!

I sure hope Willie starts to feel better. I had to take Champ to the vet the day before my birthday!! What's with these kitties?!! Can't they just let us have our day? Gosh!!

Is Willie dehydrated? I missed that he is unwell. I'd go to the good vet if you trust them more.

EWWWW on the bedbugs. I stopped shopping for second hand clothes after all the news on BB. Honestly I'm so paranoid your sister wouldn't be allowed in my house HAHA. I hear they hitch on even pant legs and in purses. I wouldn't be able to sleep. Even though I don't have them I've thought of ways that if I did how I would be able to sleep. Just knowing they were around and wanting to drink my blood when I go to sleep would be enough to send me to the loony bin.

Thanks for all the well-wishes! Willie seems to have perked up tonight, so the numbers will hopefully start heading downward. This is the 8th cycle on this dose, so I think we will dosecrease tomorrow if he continues upward. Patty raises a good point, so I plan to go get something splurgy before I crash. Plus, amazon has a sale on a cuisinart today that I think I might just need! Happy Birthday to me! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Michelle-- the bedbug thing freaks me out a little too, but I have a colleague that is full-on obsessed. She's already pretty OCD and she stayed at a hotel with bedbugs last fall. She ended up moving from her apartment (despite two unconclusive visits from a bedbug sniffing dog that cost $1K and heat treating her entire place for another $1K). To this day, her paranoia keeps her from owning a bed or sofa... she has slept for the past year in a zero gravity camping chair from Cabelas. Any bugs on my sister's clothes would have died from the heat of the dryer, I just worry that there's a plastic bag in the basement that her clothes came in, and the temps in the car haven't been high enough to kill them until today, so they could have hopped a ride on my groceries. nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile She did say the inspection today came back negative, though the guy kicked her out during it. :evil: :evil:

Okay, I'm off to figure out dinner. Thinking it is a takeout night! Ice cream will be involved!!

I wish I lived nearby, and I would treat you. I love Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey or anything chocolate really, I'm not picky! Something yummy takeout would be a nice treat, too. So sorry Willie isn't feeling good, and hope it's just an off day. Care Credit can really come in handy when needed. Have a good night and do something you like tonight.

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Mediterranean mint gelato with a (free!) brownie from Panera. I had thought I wanted peach ice cream, but it turns out, i was wrong. :lol: :lol: :lol:

The best part? Willie saw me take an initial pic, and then went and positioned himself so he would be in the shot! He has been a cuddlebug tonight, another sign he is feeling much better. Whew!!

Awwww what a sweetheart, he must like having his photo taken!

Hopefully he was just a bit tired and needed some rest after the whole mouse incident, it was very exciting you know!
