9/12 Trixie AMBG 114 PMBG 137

Yesterday

Not much to report here today. No follow-up "+3" pokey since Trix started off in normal numbers...good job, Trix! She was being a little finicky this morning, causing MamaBean some stress...where was my little glutton? I could tell she was hungry - she was trying her best to hunt down kibble crumbs, but she was not terribly pleased with what I was offering. Turns out my little princess wanted a totally fresh can...none of that refrigerated crap for her! I swear, even though Fancy Feast comes in small cans, they need to make the stuff in "mini meal" cans for our FD kitties. I hate tossing partial cans because my sweetie needs fresh, fresh, fresh sometimes!!!

So far no side effects from my Dad's second round of chemo, but last time, the yuckiness set in Friday evening. So, we'll see...hopefully he won't feel TOO bad, and after the yuckiness abated last time, we all breathed a sigh of relief and realized it was manageable.

Time to feed the Trix and get ready for work...have a great day, LL!

YaHOO! Look at that ambg this morning. What an awesome start for Trixie. Oh yes, I remember the fresh can thing too. :roll: darn cats! no leftovers for her. :roll: I had so many leftovers with Mannie. The others didn't care, so he got fresh, they got his prior meal. a relief!

Good news on your dad. I hope the good feeling continues. Maybe there will be no side effects this time.

Hi Amy,
Have you tried saving the left-over in a glass container?
Whenever I keep an open canned food in the original can, I can almost taste the aluminum next time I eat it....
Maybe that's what Trixie dislikes?

Hi Amy,
I use heavy plastic containers and glass ones, too. When I put the leftover food into Rusty's dish I first warm the dish with hot water. And I add hot water to the food, too. If it is really cold, I set the dish of food into a bowl of hot water to warm it through. I tried the microwave, but that was unsatisfactory.

I hope that your dad has a good evening and that the chemo won't bother him this week.

I never thought to transfer the leftovers from the can to a glass container...that is brilliant! Most of the time, Trix is pretty OK with leftovers, but when she is displeased, she is displeased. Likewise, I do add warm water to the fuds to warm it up; most of the time, she's fine with it, other times, it's
"No way, MamaBean" :roll: ! Just another way she luvs to keep me guessing :lol: !

My kitties are not fans of leftovers, either. Cinco will usually eat them, if I moisten them enough with water. Straight out of the refrigerator is a no sale with everyone. I've never thought of storing it in another container, but I may just do that. I have a gazillion baby food jars sitting around waiting to be used for something!

So Trixie decided to switch it up and have the higher BG at PM, did she? Mustn't let Mama get bored! :roll:

Trixie is learning some creativity tricks from Zener, probably when they are collaborating on the gluttony. We need a feral colony to eat our leftovers. :roll: :lol: Many vines for DF.

I'm glad you're dad is doing well so far and glad Trixie gave you some nice numbers!

Billie is the same way with refrigerated food. She'll take a couple bites very unenthusiastically and look at me like "excuse me, this is not what I ordered." I always end up throwing out leftovers and feel bad about it. When I remember, I take leftovers out ahead of time so they can get to room temp, but I'm going to start putting them in tupperware - that's a good idea.
