Right now, I really can't set an alarm in the night...my place is small and my grandson is nearby, and that might wake him up.

I shot a 3.0 at his 144 and am nervous about it. I thought he might have started to bounce by now with the low numbers and the HC.

I don't think he will let my daughter test and with having a 1-month old, I don't know if she'd even be able to. I will test him at +2 and see how this cycle is going.

His appetite is still not so great...he eats...just less at a time...but eventually does finish it all. Everything else is in place...

Have you tried setting your cell phone alarm to vibrate and putting it under your pillow? I think Marje does that.

Hi Karen! I think its been quite some time since I stopped into one of Poe's condos. Believe me, I know how it feels to be nervous about shooting a lower number--been there & done that. And I'm sorry you're having troubles with trying to balance your grandson and setting an alarm at night. I would sometimes set the alarm on my cellphone and leave the phone in bed next to my pillow in case my alarm clock didn't go off; just a thought; some phones have a pretty loud alarm. After about a week of alarms, my husband would sleep right through it (and sometimes I'd get up, test, re-set the alarms for two or three hours later, and then repeat again--poor Gobbles and DH!!!) Also, if he would let your daughter test him, I'll bet she'd do fine with it. I taught my daughter how to test Gobbles when I had to be away for a while. With her, he was basically choiceless...let's say she had a less-gentle technique  She got blood out of him the very first time I showed her how to do it. When I was away, she'd text me a picture of the glucometer showing the BG reading and it would really make me feel better.
