Missed the bed time test last night. ohmygod_smile Trying to wait for +2 and fell asleep  Got a +10.5 of 117 and I know I wasn't supposed to feed her, but she wouldn't leave me alone, and all the kitties got fed, so I gave her a slice of turkey. Amps 105 and she's having 2 slices turkey and some kibble for breffis. I put it all in the same bowl, just to see if she would eat 2 things she LIKES out of the same bowl, and she does. 4 P's in place so far, waiting on last LB visit.

Re: 9/12 Muffin amps 105

Very nice AMPS even with a bit of food. And it sounds like you and Muffin have made some more progress on the food acceptance situation. Every little step, no matter how tiny, is a good thing!

Re: 9/12 Muffin amps 105

Really doesn't feel like I'm getting anywhere - she can't eat turkey forever. But I guess it's better than 100% kibble. Tonight I'll try a crumb of canned in with turkey AND kibble - maybe more smells to disguise it. ;-)

Re: 9/12 Muffin amps 105

God luck with the food ting - what a challenge. It makes me grateful for Mannie who just eats everything...

Nice amps this morning, even if food influenced.

Re: 9/12 Muffin amps 105

You guys are looking good! Here's to hoping Muffin doesn't notice the wet food...

Re: 9/12 Muffin amps 105 +2.5 108

108 @ +2.5

Thanks all, I hope she doesn't notice it either Amanda. Will try to use something with as little smell as possible. I used to try strong smelling foods to hope she get interested, but now I'm thinking the opposite - less noticeable. Any suggestions?

Maybe the Merrick's Thanksgiving Dinner. People with cats that eat things besides kibble may warn you that it's high in carbs, but I'd say those sorts of concerns don't count with our stubborn ladies. It's better than the dry. And the Weruva chicken. I know you've had trouble finding it, but it's definitely not stinky. Bon chance!

Re: 9/12 Muffin amps 105 +2.5 108

good idea, my pet food store lady said that lots of cats who don't like wet food will go for Weruva. I've only tried the fishy ones and they were very popular (but stinky). Haven't tried the chicken.

Perseverance...you definitely have that Anne! Good will have to come out of this~~you are trying everything....good for you!

pmps 94

I've been gone most of the day, so not many tests done.

Amanda - I'll try Thanksgiving Day Dinner, thanks. My other cats weren't crazy about that one, so I don't have any in the house atm, but I'll try it. Could be why the others didn't care for it, if it doesn't smell much. I have found one pet store that carries Weruva, but I haven't been able to get out there yet. Now I'll make more of an effort.

Libby - I think I'm coming to the conclusion that Muffin is not a fishy cat, so I'll try the chicken Weruva. My others may really like the fish flavors tho - good to know they are stinky. (and popular)

Thank you Pat.

Tonight I tried Evo turkey and chicken, thinking that would be pretty plain, but when I opened the can, it sure did smell strong. I basically dipped 2 tines of the fork in and put that in the bowl, so it's barely anything. Then covered it with kibble and topped it with turkey. She actually ate 2 kibble before I could get the turkey in the bowl and has now eaten 2 or 3 pieces of the turkey off the top. :RAHCAT Then she must've smelled the Evo, because she has now quit eating. angry(2)_cat I will leave it for a bit and see what happens.

Every morning when I see all the dry food eaten except the kibbles that touched the wet food and the kibble next to the kibbles that touched the wet food, I think of you. I keep meaning to take a picture.

 Amanda!

+1 87 She did go back to the bowl and eat a bit more, until she got to a section of kibble that touched the kibble that touched the wet food ohmygod_smile After that she would only eat if I took it out of the bowl for her. So did that for a couple pieces of turkey and kibble, but really wanted her to get it out herself. She went downstairs to the LB and Kibby came up and ate the rest. Going to give her a refill now, as she's still hungry and I just hit the vein on this test and made her bleed all over the place :o Found some Thanksgiving Day Dinner in the fridge, so I'll try that this time.

ETA: Also wanted to ask: Civie Shnookie had a really hoarse voice yesterday, and today he barely has any voice at all. Seems to be feeling ok, is eating fine, etc etc. He hasn't done an excessive amount of meowing that I know of (unless he did outside somewhere for some reason). Has anyone else had this happen, seemingly for no reason?

I've heard similar things if they have a little acid reflux, they've just puked or a had a hairball.

And I think Weeble and Muffin may be switching places. She refuses to eat more than 1 tablespoon of EVO in the morning. Maybe they're like long-distance see-saws.

I'm picturing the long-distance see-saw

I haven't seen any pukus, but I guess he could be doing it in places unknown during his outdoor adventures. Maybe acid reflux, since it's been going on for 2 days now.
