Kitties!! Full Harvest Moon Party tonight!
This FULL MOON is a very special one for me… Last years Full Harvest Moon party was the last full moon party where I was able to cook with my mentor, Master Chef Stu, who crossed to the bridge a few days later. So in honor of the greatest LL chef ever, I have Chef Stu’s 2010 menu as our menu for this year’s harvest moon party. It is so fitting for me that we will have our party this year at Rusty’s, and Stu's, barn… Mannie

Today we are on day 3 of a new dose, and so far... not too bad at all! We have a great 102 for amps this morning. The 172 is in part a food spike, as he has had two feedings since his amps. I hope for a great cycle this morning, low blues, maybe even some greens. Mannie - let's make this dose a keeper! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D The kitty choir was in full force this morning. It seems like Elsa and Mannie have not retired, and are back to making sure the bean gets out of bed - no small task! :lol: The were singing their hearts out this morning - good thing as I was really sound asleep... :roll: We had another great test feed shoot - so many purrs from Mannie. I even had tail wags, well more like pom pom wags, as he really does not have a tail: just this cute big fluffy ball where that ail should be. :cool: :razz: A morning here with this three ring circus would not be complete without some whacking. Once again the three of them did not disappoint. Today was fun: all three sat facing one another. One would whack somebody, and around the circle it went. :lol: :lol: :lol: Breffis was gobbled up this morning, clean plate club status remains intact. Sadly though we are back to ignoring the auto feeder: no surprise there. :lol: :lol: The troops are now napping, with full bellies, warm beds, countless kitty dreams, waiting for what lies ahead. Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D :cool: :razz:

Have a great day everyone. I'm not too sure what will be here today.... maybe a walk in a few, maybe a short hike close to home later... maybe just nuthin'. :lol: :lol:

Kitties!!! This is it! Our full moon party!!! WOOT! We gots to bring KTSS to Rusty too - he had to go to the vetty and gets his toothies cleaned.... i hope they left them in his mouth... so! KTSS for Rusty! and then we paw-tay! I hope you kitties like the menu - it is the menu that Stu perfected for last years full harvest moon. Tonight I want to remember him, and all GA kitties, so we will have his 2010 full harvest moon menu. You guys ready? All kitties welcome to help on the kitchen krew. Great numbers for Mannie! The new dose appears to be agreeing with him. Glad the choir got you up and out of bed. The little drill sargeants that they are. :lol: Oh and the whacking. How funny to watch. Tarragon and Turnup don't do it very often but were both having fun yesterday and spent about an hour whacking and chasing. It is always nice to see them play like they were kittens again.

Oh Mannie! That menu sounds sooooo good. We will have to go see Rusty. It will be a sad night remembering your friend Stu. I didn't know him but have heard that he was a great Chef just like you. Can't wait for the big party! - Tarragon

Morning Melissa - I so hope so on the new dose. Paws crossed! I know it will take a few days for him to get settled into it, so we wait and see hoe the next few days go. Mornings are always fun here - what characters they can be! I figure that all this whacking is part of their play, and social interaction. I am glad to see it whenever I get it, as they, being senior cats, don't play all that much any more. -- and yeah, I kinda like the "nuthin" too. :lol:

Hi Michelle, great numbers today for Mannie. Is he giving you permission to take an adventure hike? I hope so. Mannie has no tail. I know he's Main Coon, but is there any mix in there, like maybe Manx, probably not!
Nice that the choir kitty got you up this morning. Have a nice day. I just had a short walk, as I wasn't sure what Mags was up to - it's already sunny here!

Yummmm that Mouse Mousse really caught my eye Mannie, can't wait for the party tonight! I didn't meet Stu either but i've heard he was a pretty special dude......and yes KTSS for Rusty tonight to get the vetty smell off him.

I didn't know Mannie was a manx kitty!?!?! Well the things you learn on this forum huh :lol: When does Mannie and the gals go in for dentals?

Hi Ann and Miss Maggie - I think he has given me another permission slip - a 110 close to nadir, he should surf here. The hike today is a short one, and close so I think I shall go. Waterfalls on today's agenda! When We adopted Mannie from the shelter they told me he was manx. I know he is not 100% manx. I think it may be part of the mix - they had no idea. his tail is a fun "mutation" - about 5", all corkscrewed. Weird - so it, with all that long fur it really does look like a pom pom. It is so funny when he tries to wag that thing. i really do need to d a few butt shots. :lol: :lol: I am gad you got your walk in! :-D

Hi Devon - thanks - me too. I hope he settles into it - it seems like he has.. we are surfin' his favorite color - blues! :-D

Hi Ann, and Miss Tess - i hope so - this dose is looking darn good. Day three and we have low blues, a few greens. YAY!! and thx on the pics - we are lucky - so much that is so close.. I love it! off for a waterfall hike in a few... never been here, but it sounds great!

hi Tracy - Well I think he's part manx, just don't believe the 100%, and such long fur - I wonder if there isn't a little maine coon in there.. we just don't know for sure. -- and the dreaded dentals are next week - on the 20th. They are needed, but such worry we go through. They are all seniors... and Mannie had such a time with his last one - longgggggggggg story there. But he needs it, badly enough, so off they go. BJ has to wait until her kidney values are a little better. Not too sure what we will do with her, as she is the eldest at 18.

Glad you got out for your mini hike and that Mannie gave permission. That's so cool that Mannie has some Manx in him. He has the beautiful coat of the Main Coon and the cute stubby tail of the Manx. Maggie thinks that means they are distanct cousins. :lol: Yes, we definitely need to see a picture of the cute butt, sorry Mannie!

Hi Ann - me to - it was a short one, so I could go later in the morning. Yep on the manx part - I looked at that link that Carolyn sent and omg! that fits Mannie to a "T". Maybe he is a cymric: a long haired manx. his tail so looks like the one in the photo. and his coat is very similar to the photo, just a tabby version. :-D I always thought he was part Maine Coon... now I wonder on that too! ok - it's settled - I need a photo of his cute butt! gotta work on that. :lol: :lol: Mannie says Maggie may be right on the distant cousins thing - he so agreed! :-D

Hey Chef Mannie! What a great idea to prepare the menu Stu and you prepared last year! My mamabean says that Chef Stu will be so happy to party through the veil. He'll be cooking the same menu for the GAs. It will be a great prelude to the Halloween Party at Camp Stu, when the veil is the thinnest. I can't wait for the party to start. I feel good, except for this vetty smell. My mouth is watering for some real party food. See you soon. The moon is just coming up.

What a great way to honor Stu by preparing the menu from last year's Harvest Moon Party. Mannie is so thoughtful. Rusty is really looking forward to the party tonight. Thanks for all the good thoughts for his dental.

Hi Ella - No problem on the visit - I know you had things, like Rusty's dental, on your mind. that is more important. :-D I hope so on the menu - it occurred to me last night as I was thinking harvest moon menu that last years was really the last time that those two collaborated - it somehow seemed fitting to use that menu. I was elated when I actually found it! Mannie is very stoked abut this party... I hope they behave themselves. :lol: :lol:

Hi Marje - i saw Gracie tonight. omg - maybe she was tired of being told all week how flat she is... this is let's shake things up night. I do like this surf tonight - even. not too bad.
