I moved him up .25 units 4 days ago and it looks to me like he bounced at +6 on 9/9. I could use another pair of eyes on his numbers so I can get a feel for what Im doing here.

9/8
amps 322
+3 292
+6 204
+8 273
pmps 383
+2 396

9/9
amps 365
+4 386
+8 376
pmps 330
+2 320
+6 193

9/10
amps 240
+4 416
+8 388
pmps 332
+2 320

9/11
amps 336
+3 406
+7 347
pmps 303
+2 342
+4 341
+7 286

Should I post his numbers more often? I feel like I need to see several days at once to get a good picture of what is happening though.

Also, Im really seeing the importance of getting the night numbers.... but geez.....Im so sleep deprived today! Any tips on making that easier? I couldnt fall back to sleep after the tests, but Im guessing in time that will change.

AND, Im officially moving him to 6 feeding times a day today. (I had trouble getting the right automatic feeder for a while there but I think Im all set now) Hopefully that will help.

all the #s are in his SS too

thanks!
Michele

Hello Michele and Crushy! No advice from me except to say you should put some ?? in your header to alert advisors you would like assistance. You can also use the little ? radio button so it flags a question mark on the header. You need to edit your original post so it shows up in the list.

Great job in getting the night time numbers! I think we all struggle with that one, but it gets pretty routine after awhile. Also, as you get to know how Crushy reacts in certain situations, you will learn when you can skip a few tests and get some zzzzz!

I remember the night time woes! I did eventually "train" myself to go back to sleep, most of the time I'm an insomniac. I love the auto feeder I have. Sorry I don't have advice but wanted to say hello and I hope you have a great day maybe with a nap :-D

Thanks Rachel!
a nap is definitely on the agenda....

Hi Michele! I don't think I've posted in Crushy's condo before, so hello and welcome!

Most people post every day if they have time, so feel free to do that. Don't feel like you need to know what's going on, or have anything earthshaking to report - believe me, I'd never post if I waited to figure out what Papaya is doing  The advantage of that is that you might mention things on a daily basis like the cat's activity level, appetite, litter box action etc. that can help give clues to how they are doing too, whereas after a few days you might not remember how Crushy was feeling on a given day. It helps everyone get to know you and your cat, too, so go ahead and post daily if you like. But as long as your spreadsheet is updated everyone can see at a glance the numbers which is the main part of dosing decisions.

I'm sorry Crushy is still quite high, I wouldn't be surprised if it's time for a bit more insulin but I'll let the others who have been advising you previously suggest what you should do about the dose. You could go back to your first post of the day put "DOSE??" in the subject line along with the question marks just so the right people take a look at the post.

It looks to me like Crushy bounced off of the blue on 9/9, as well. It typically takes around 72 hours for a bounce to clear. The question is whether Crushy will bounce after the blue today. I think we're going to need to see what Crushy is doing closer to PMPS to know what to do about the dose.
