Good Morning All....Checkers was unusually friendly this morning, coming to me for lovin's while I was trying to read paper, in recliner.
Breffis was less than usual, and gave more of it at +1 and +2.
By +3, when I tested, he complained that I was starving him. I reminded him that he doesn't eat what I give him anyway. So, he has eaten 3/4 of can FF, in 4 installments by almost +4. He just led me into kitchen for food. gave one teas. Guess I'll wait until +5 to test again, now.

Another gloomy, rainy day in NY state. :YMSIGH:


eta: just discovered little stinker didn't eat +4 snack. I walked away and didn't watch him. Guess he wanted the chicken dust on it. That's Pat's fault.....she told us about that trick. :mrgreen:

Hi Barb,
The rain just reached the Adirondacks and it sure is cold and windy, too. Our poor paddlers in the 90-mile race will have their hands full today.
Checkers is down to the yellow floor. Hooray!! Don't forget the parties tonight, Checkers!

Didn't I add the disclaimer when I told you about the chicken dust? I usually say to use it at your own risk! I thought it was such a great idea cause they loved it so much....now it has become a staple...a real necessity. Food just ain't the same w/o it!

Hi Barb! Nice numbers for Checkers today! Ugly amps, but the +2 is really nice - right back to the good numbers. I hope Checkers can surf this for a bit. nice and steady Checkers!

Checkers will be at the parties tonight, bearing freshly roasted turkey slices.
Someone put the idea in the bean's head a couple days ago, and she couldn't forget about it. Right now we have a pan of turkey breast and roasting veggies, for dinner. Checks wil have turkey only, in his carry-all. :-D

Yes, Pat, you did post a warning, I remember; unfortunately, checks was reading over my shoulder, and wanted to try the chicken dust..and that was that! :YMSIGH:

He refused +4 snack, and had roast turkey for +5 snack.

Since he is going up now, is it necessary to give +8 snack?
Is that only if the cat is surfing, and you want to keep it there?

It's your call on the +8. It's hard to say what the effect will be. It may cause Checker's pancreas to kick in and produce some insulin on it's own and pull numbers down. On the other hand, it could push numbers up. If you're going to feed, just give a small amount.

How's that for a non-answer?

Yup, that's what he said, so now I have to not let him stare me down before pre-shot. :lol:

I just bought peaches and sour cream, so now I have a recipe to search for. :-D

Checkers, you need to slow down a little so you can stay down there! Nice blues there in the middle!

I know what you mean about the turkey...DD gave Tinkles some sliced turkey one day, now every time I get out the cold cuts, he's right there, looking at me with those pitiful eyes...he IS starving, don't ya know! :mrgreen:

I think I'm going to have to go get some peaches and sour cream tomorrow.... :mrgreen:

I purposely and deliberately walked right past the peaches at the store today. Nope, not gonna get tempted by a decadent dessert, must not go there.... Of course that's not to say I won't end up back at the store tomorrow to get pie ingredients. :lol:
 
That's a sorry looking color there after we have come to expect so much better from you Checkers....
oh, okay...it's a low red so we know you will turn around and go back the other way. Hurry now, you have to help Mama bake a pie...
I hope your crumbs turn out better than mine did...I don't quite have the knack of that yet but I am working on it...mine kinda just melt down into a wonderful topping...but they are not crumbs. They still look the same on my hips though. LOL.
Hope you enjoy it! It is really wonderful with whipped cream on top too....the most trouble I had was staring at it to cool down when I took it out of the oven...really hot...took so long to get cool enough to eat. Well, it seemed like a long time cause I was just staring at it. :lol:

..Oh no, I didn't think of buying whipped cream. I cheated and bought graham cracker crumb crusts. I don't really care about the crust, just the peachy custard and crumb topping.
Funny you should mention the crumbs Pat. The other day, I had to get rid of some over ripe peaches, and made peach crisp. I had only Promise Marg....trying to be healthy.LOL....and the 'crumbs' all melted into a big gooey mess. :lol: It was stil good. :-D

Oh yeah, my cat. I'm assuming he'll come down a little in a couple of hours. :smile:
 
I didn't know we were continuing the conversation about the peach custard pie. You'd think everyone was starving! It's kinda like Checkers staring at the turkey slices!!
Anyway, Come on down a bit from that RED, Checkers. Party time!!!
