back to the pink preshot --- who knows what will happen the rest of the day

I may not be on much today -- son James and companion JoAnne are visiting here from Kauai -- they have a whole schedule planned, not sure how much of it I can go along with

#1 Catcat -- with his lovely greens lately I would like to keep tabs on him
#2 I myself am dealing with enormous fatigue from all and sundry, not sure I could keep up with them
#3 but they are going places I'd love to go

we'll see how his early numbers stack up today, I may go for all of it or some of it or none of it

right now I need to catch a shower, get dressed in public clothes, and see how it's going

I agree with Paula on this one! I think it sounds like you could have a nice day with your son! if You are worried though I think it could also be nice to do like you said and join them for part of the day :)

Either way... starting with a shower and "public" clothes is a good start!

oh I do feel better now -- fancy LuLaRoe leggings -- large leaf print of "stitched" white, gold/burnt sienna, and turquoise on greenish black background, a scoop neck turquoise tee with bling sparkles on the front, wearing the necklace that JoAnne gave me, a blue-green abalone heart with rhinestones surrounding -- and a brown/white/cream/deep tan herringbone kimono type cardigan over all

pretty clothes do raise the mood, and DH made me another latte for energy

not keen on sauntering through Tacoma Mall, but next up is the Museum of Glass (many Chihuly pieces) then prowling antique stores -- I'll miss the senior center food bank this week -- boo hoo -- but we'll probably be eating out for a couple of days

I'll put Friskies food out for Catcat, and another container of frozen homestewed chicken -- that should keep his BG from diving today -- he HAS been known to drop to greens even with a pink AMPS

OK -- 270 at +1.75 -- forgot I was a bit late shooting today

so with luck and feeding the curve, he may be OK til tonight
 
Have a wonderful day! Your outfit sounds divine! I love to put on some nice clothes and get out to see some sights, have lunch, etc. For now, I'm thinking staying in is the ticket for me :) At least until my face and ear become more acceptable to the general population :)
 
update -- they're going to be here an hour later than originally planned -- so I swapped the cardigan for a cream silk oversized shirt-jacket since it may get warmer today -- and J&J will still be accustomed to Kauai warm weather -- not sure yet if we're going in one car or two

swapped the black Mary Janes for dull blue/gray sturdy sandals with thick soles -- going to be a lot of walking today -- I warned DH that I'll probably need my walker today, and his will be in too

Catcat ate half the big can of Friskies, then LEFT FOOD BEHIND, including the frozen chicken -- amazing! so he's set at least for the morning and maybe early afternoon
 
survived today ! the Museum of Glass was really interesting, we got to see one piece of art being made from about-halfway-through to completed!
Aya Oki is the visiting artist right now

it's LIVE RIGHT NOW ---

watch them pull the glass art in and out of the furnace and manipulate it to add more features to the glass

you can scroll through the hours of this by using mouse to pull the red line and dot back and forth we were there about about hour 1 and a bit, watched for at least 45 minutes sitting there

ate chicken Philly sandwiches at Charley's in Tacoma Mall -- stop there took much more than the "not more than ten minutes" that James said it would

Catcat was so happy to see me back -- look like he didn't eat a bit while I was gone, has now eaten all the leftovers, pretty much what was there when I left, and he's sprawled on his back looking satiated now -- thought about doing a test anyway, assuming he hasn't eaten for awhile, but then thought I'd give his ears a break until PMPS

we'll assume what he did today, based on the next few tests, with luck he held the good numbers

PMPS 293 -- not bad for all that food he ate! and if he happened to dip down during the day ??? well who knows? only he does and he's not telling
