That's quite a jump Tucker!I retested after 20 minutes and he had come up to 7.2. I had given him a large Tbsp of Friskies tuna
We are expecting an international visitor at any moment - and Tucker is going to be very difficult to grab fur a test as he freaks out over strange men. I've just put a bowl of more food under the bed in case I can't test him. Great timing! That's quite a jump Tucker!
I'd test again in one hour to see he is not dropping again.
What's the carb % in that, that is quite a lot of HC late in the cycle, you may well find that a large amount of HC like that will stall the cycle when given in the latter half of the cycle, this may result in a high pmps. If you see a high pmps it may not necessarily be a bounce, be sure to get a +2/+3 tonight if it's a bounce you will see him stay high and flat if it's (BIPO) Big Insulin Poop Out, you will see him drop again at onset.I had given him a large Tbsp of Friskies tuna
It looks like the depot of the 2u might still be in play, also did you reduce to 1.75 4cyclesbago then upped the dose to 2u 3cycles ago and then back down to 1.75? Or is that just a typo in SS?9/11 Fighting hypo all day after a dose reduction yesterday.... What is going on?!?Currently at 3.6 after an day in the green zone. See SS, I've been giving him Tbsp of high carb hourly.

Thanks Bron.@Gill & George not sure if you are aware of what happened with @Tucker in July. I think you may have been away from the board..
After being in low numbers and thought to be ok, he suddenly dropped really low again, became unconscious, and we thought we'd lost him. A few days later they almost lost him again with an extremely bad case of pancreatitis. Since then he has needed more insulin and now he is again wanting to ask for reductions. Prior to both these events Tucker was dropping in dose and needing reduction frequently. I have found that if he doesn't get reductions when he drops low, even if he had a reduction the day before, he drops low again. He seems to be very sensitive to an overfull depot and with insulin when he is in low numbers. Does that make sense.?
Here is the link to the night he dropped really low and scared the pants off all of us!
I always err on the side of caution with this boy!

I love the little stories I saw about his antics! Remission isn't as important as safety - you are so right. If it happens, that's good tooThank you! He is the sweetest little guy, we desperately just want to keep him safe and happy - remission is no longer our goal.
