Not much to report here in TrixieLand today. Looks like Ms P is back on the job, although talk about hanging on the edge of the shore of the lagoon!!

This is what I wrote last night about Trix's quick vetty visit/BP check:
Just got back...it was a madhouse in there tonight and we didn't even get to actually speak with the vet like we usually do. Her BP was good at 120, although - taking white coat into account - it MAY still be a bit low. But we're holding her dose at 1/4 tablet amlodipine SID for now, and rechecking yet again in a month. The tech went on about how sweet Trix is...apparently Trix was being all rubby-lovey-dovey while they were trying to take her BP. The tech said Trix was "oddly relaxed" during the test  !

And, her weight is up a bit, just in the last week and a half. I knew she was being a piggy! I only did a few syringe feedings for extra calories the first couple days after her last appointment, but after I saw how much her appy increased after reducing her BP meds, I stopped with the syringes. So the weight gain is really all Trix's doing.

I'm a little bummed that we have to take her back in a month instead of the usual 3 month break we get between routine visits, but what can ya do? Apparently the vet thinks she may eventually go off Amplodipine. I just like her to have as much time between vetty visits as possible, to keep stress out of her life as much as possible.

No side effects yet for my Dad after Round 2, but last time it did take about 4 days for the side effects to kick in. I know it was when the one steroid was out of his system that he pretty much crashed for a few days. So, that is what we are expecting this time, too...hopefully there will be no surprises.

Our anniversary was very nice, and the food from our favorite vegetarian restaurant was as phenomenal as always. So hard to believe it has already been 20 years!

After being "off" two days in a row (although, with chemo day in there it wasn't really like being off), it's back to work for me today. Have a great day, LL!

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

Another nice start for Miss Trixie. Almost green. well, I dunno, that +3 sure looks green to me. Bummer that you need to take her back for another BP test so soon, But I do get it on the it still may be a bit low for her, factoring in the white coat thing. Wouldn't it be great if we could check it at home? excellent on the weight gain. Yahoo!

Positive thoughts for your dad. I hope round two continues to be good.

Very cool on your anniversary celebration. Sounds like you guys had a great day.

Enjoy today too, and I hope all goes well at TBP.

Hi, Amy, I agree with Michelle: that's a pretty green 100 there. :-D
I'm glad Trix is eating her fuds and putting on some ozs. That's great news!
It sounds like you and DH had a wonderful 20th celebration!
Keeping your dad in my thoughts ♥
I hope you have a good day at work today!

Nice of Ms. P to join the party this morning. Hope she doesn't take any more breaks!

I agree it's too bad you have to go back to the vet so soon, but if Trixie is running low, it's better to keep tabs on it.

I hope your dad sails through this treatment cycle with minimal side effects. Sending vines and prayers.

The only thing better than a really great meal at a restaurant is a really great meal in such large portions that you get to take some home to enjoy later! I think you scored on that one! :-D

I hope your day at tbp goes by quickly.

I agree, that 100 looks green. I'm glad Trixie has gained some weight. Sorry you have to take her back to the vet so soon. I'm glad your dad isn't having any side effects yet. Sending more prayers.

Hi Amy,
Checking in after a very busy week and see that you and DH had a great 20th-anniversary dinner celebration. Happy Belated!

Trix is looking good: It's great that she comes down to green (or almost green) by herself. Too bad about the vet schedule, but maybe it won't be too bad. She might get used to it!

Enjoy the evening,

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Of course Trixie was lovey dovey and sweet. :-D She's such a good girl...even when she makes her mama bean hold her bowl for her! Glad she seems to be all good in the vetty sense of the word! Sending lots of prayers for your dad.
