Never forget! (photo is the World Trade Center from our rooftop in Brooklyn)
Good Morning, Everyone,
We adopted Stu from the NY City ASPCA right after 9/11. We thought we would adopt a kitty to make room in the shelter for all of the kitties who lost their beans on 9/11. In a sense, Rusty is a 9/11 kitty, too, because he is Stu's successor.
Rusty had a good night, a good morning routine, a good schmooze, and is now chillaxin' in his basket. The weather is awful: hot already, and so humid that all our windows have condensation from the abrupt switch from very cold weather to very hot. Rusty has a vetty appointment this afternoon to clear out his anal glands and get a nail clipping. This morning I have to get my car inspected. The auto repair shop is right next to the vet, but I didn't want Rusty to have to sit around and wait for the car if there is a delay, so we'll go back to Lake Placid this afternoon for Rusty's "inspection and maintenance".
Today, in addition to running around, I will try to get my paperwork done and also give Edward a haircut. He looks like a mad scientist!
Our Park Slope, Brooklyn Fire Squad--first responders--lost half its men in the 9/11 attack. We remember them today.
