Yesterday, Ruby did a nice big poop right after her PMPS shot. She's been heading downward, and I hope, fingers and all paws crossed, that she stays nice and steady for DBF as I have another long day of work ahead of me and won't be home until PM +1.

Have a wonderful Caturday! :bighug:

Glad to see her back to better numbers.

I don't think you have room to increase Ruby's numbers given how low the 2.75u is bringing her. The red seems to have some variability in its effect. I know it's frustrating to see those high numbers. Is there any chance Ruby found some contraband just to make you want to tear your hair out?

I'm guessing once the vet is comfortable with Ruby's progress with the SCL that the red dose will be lowered.

I'm definitely not increasing her, at least not anytime soon. I seems every time I increase, it gets her in better numbers for a little while and then she becomes more resistant.

Just wanted to send a quick “happy for poop” message. Hope Ruby starts heading back down soon but not too much. Frank has passed all of Ruby’s challenges and needs to play nice :p. Hope you have a successful work day. Take care Katherine and gets some rest when you can. Sending big hugs to you, Frank, Ruby and Olive of course:rolleyes: :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

+3 = 101. Not only are Ruby's numbers dropping precipitously today, but I also realized we have fleas! I have no idea how the cats might have gotten them but I saw one on the bed today and I've gotten bitten by them myself. What is the best treatment for them that won't add another layer of issues for Ruby's BGs??

The vet gave Dolly and our other cat one of those collars to wear ( they didn’t even have fleas) but it may of been an RX. Sorry I don’t remember more about it. They may have the flea collars at a pet store or the grocery store.

Do flea collars work? I don't want to bring them to an expensive weekend vet tomorrow for a prescription. Can we go to Petco and buy something OTC?

Do you have carpet or flooring? Best thing for getting rid of fleas for us was getting rid of most of the carpet. And I used a fine tooth flea comb which I dipped in soapy water should it uncover anything.

I will get Advantage II tomorrow and a flea comb. We have the whole stairway in the house carpeted so we can’t get rid of that.
